The main character & story.

The AI narration is horrible: cold & stilted. I got through it by speeding it up to 1.5. I think I’ll try faster on the next one. The story is keeping me going despite the cold narration.

Good story awful narration

This was my first book by this author. I think the story was pretty good. Good enough to make me want to get another of the books but the narration was awful. It made me really want to delete the book from my library.

do not like the ai generated speech, lax all emotions, my 10 year old could do better job

This was a good story. I enjoyed the storyline and the main character is intriguing. However…….this whole VIRTUAL VOICE THING SUCKS!!! OMG, the amount of mispronounced words was stunning. The monotone voice about made me catatonic! I really want to listen to the next book, BUT if it’s virtual voice again, idk if I can do it!! Ughhh

I understand that this book was spoken using a virtual (AI) narrative. It lacked emotion and emphasis on certain phrases and intensity. I enjoyed the story but the narration was lacking.
