It drives me crazy when words like read and live are mispronounced for the context of the sentence. There are also odd pauses and no inflection.

I get distracted by the monotone voice. A question has no inflection.

The computer reader was flat and emotionless. Mispronounced simple words and all characters.. Assassin's and cartel bad guys all sounded like they were in a business meeting. That was the writing and reader. I suspect was written by Ai. Hard pass.

This was promoted as better than Lee Child and Reacher. It isn’t. The lead character is constantly out of control of situations he finds himself in. Overwhelming incompetence. The performance makes it worse. I understand a computer read it; if this is great computer work, then we are far away from good AI narratives.
