Acerca de esta escucha
Dividers is a stand-alone novel that pays homage to stories told by Stanley Kubrick. Billionaire Jacob Calbraw has just started a relationship with famed singer Celeste Marie. Their forbidden love affair has stirred the wrath of Jacob's father, Earl Calbraw. Since the two billionaires have been at war for years, and Earl still has Celeste under contract, the situation comes to a head in rapid fashion.
To further complicate things, Jacob awakens frequently in odd places, having lost several hours from his memory. He finds himself in a filthy Brooklyn, New York, bar bathroom and notices that his body is badly beaten. After a bit of reflection, he recalls kidnapping a little girl and locking her away somewhere...though he cannot put together all of the details.
As the story churns forward at a breakneck pace, Jacob begins to learn that things should not be taken at face value. It seems that something dark has overtaken his mind, and the source isn't clear. Has he been possessed by some malignant force, or succumbed to madness from 12 years of grieving for his missing mother? With each passing day, the young man must question whether events are taking place in the real world, or if he is just riding the demon. Is he experiencing these incredible things, or is someone systematically hijacking his mind?

Great writing and captivating story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I was very captivated by this story from the very beginning. I was always interested in the mystery surrounding Jacob, and couldn't wait to find out what was going on.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jacob was my favorite, mainly because all the drama surrounded him. So many things were happening in his life and the main points of the story involved him. The others were very well developed and interesting as well, but he definitely held my attention the most.
Which character – as performed by Frank Frederick – was your favorite?
Again, Jacob. The way Frank Frederick performed throughout was fantastic and added to the story in a wonderful way, but I especially loved his readings of Jacob.

Powerful and Emotional Ride
What made the experience of listening to Dividers the most enjoyable?
I was really swept away into the world created by the novel. It is an intense story and being able to listen to it, especially with headphones, made the experience much deeper than just reading the book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dividers?
Without giving away a key plot scene, after several confrontations and constant disregard for human life, tensions build and something dark starts to take hold of one of the characters. What happens next really took a twist that I had not expected and suprised me in a very positive way. Also, one of the character's efforts to save his son is very powerful and emotional. It is a scene that I will long remember.
What about Frank Frederick’s performance did you like?
His performance is spot on. Not only does he narrate the book, but he acts it out most of the times, providing us with vivid images of the story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, it was, but although the novel was captivating and emotionally powerful, I listened to it over the course of 4 days, as I didn't have the time to do it in one sitting in a single day.
Any additional comments?
I was thrilled by the book and the narration. Whether you love or loathe the characters for what they are, the one thing that is sure is that you will feel deeply for them. It is indeed a rollercoaster emotional ride from start to finish.

A chilling audio book with a churning story
What did you love best about Dividers?
The love between the children is what creates further hatred between the two families. Their love remains forbidden making the story even more interesting.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dividers?
The starting of the relationship between Jacob Calbraw with the famed singer Celeste Marie.
Which character – as performed by Frank Frederick – was your favorite?
Jacob who is the millionaire’s son has troubles of his own. He suffers memory loss due to the trauma of having lost his mum at an early age.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Is it racy or hatred?
Any additional comments?
This book will keep you hooked and interested. It is a must read.
