Fantastic Audio Book on Discovering NLP!

As a professional working with speakers I thought I knew what NLP was all about before... John simplifies it to where now anyone can use the attitude and technologies to make incredible changes if they follow the protocols John tasks you with. Get this information asap.

Excellent resource!

John Santangelo is a talented guy and I enjoyed taking his six week NLP training course several years ago. His live course helped me quite a bit to understand myself and how people make decisions. My interest in NLP started long before I met John, however, and his course introduced definitions and terminology which really made sense to me. I took lots of notes and asked a ton of questions. I'm sure that I was a nightmare student for him with my deep analytical mind and endless questioning. It probably drove him to write this book, which neatly lays out all the answers I was looking for in the first place. Even better, now that I have all this useful material as an audio recording, I can just pause and rewind instead of raising my hand to ask a clarifying question, and he doesn't even miss a beat. This is a dream come true. Thanks buddy! Now let's get to it!

An ENTIRE NLP Course in book form!

I've read several books on NLP, and I have to say that this book, by Dr. John James Santangelo is by far the most complete. I am certified in NLP, and all I can say is that I wish this book had been available prior to becoming certified, as it would have greatly simplified a lot of the elements of this amazing science and would have helped to de-mystify what NLP truly is, component by component. The author masterfully leads you on the journey by introducing the various concepts, describing them in detail, adding exercises, and then he moves on to the next component, which itself can only be truly understood and internalized once you've completed the previous section.
I especially enjoyed the section on rapport building ... particularly on how it can be just as important to break rapport as it is to establish rapport.
Kudos to the author! I highly recommend this book for anyone just starting out on their NLP journey AND for anyone who has already experienced NLP.

A Guide to all things NLP

Discovering NLP, by James Santangelo, is a terrific book for anyone wanting to grow in their personal or professional development. I have heard a lot about NLP but had never completely understood it. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to understand how you can use an LP to develop better confidence, better, communication, skills, and how to maximize your life. The author, Santangelo, is also the narrator. He is a terrific communicator, sounds really good reading his book to you. He truly makes you want to continue listening. The basic premise that goes throughout the book is the way that he describes using NLP to eliminate negative thinking, and limiting beliefs in your life.
I like the sentiment from the second chapter in talking about Abraham Lincoln, and how he continually lost running for Senate and representative, but did not give up. The NLP model tells you to think that failure is a matter of choice. You get what you tolerate. I think that anyone looking to learn more about NLP and applied in your life or truly benefit from this book.
