What’s in a name

On one occasion in book one, and two occasions in this book, the wrong names are stated. With Royce, Reed, and Reece, I know it can get confusing, but isn’t that what producers and editors are supposed to keep an eye on?

Always love listening to Erin & Joe. Truly the best team.

All I am going to say is that this story was better than the first.

Highly recommended audiobook with great narrators!

Very enjoyable series

Really enjoying this series! My only complaint is that 3 of the main characters have very similar names, making it hard to keep track of what's happening.

Petition for Reorganization of Series Listing

I really do love this series and loved this sequel. I work for a criminal defense attorney so this book series is my bread and butter. Most law offices aren't nearly this exciting.
This being said, I totally regret reading this book thinking I was reading in chronological order. If I had realized earlier I would've read this later. However, I think it had more to do with reading the way audible presents the books. It doesn't give away anything huge but it totally felt like I ruined some of the anticipation for the others. It also felt like I was missing out on parts of the storyline. Maybe it doesn't make much of a difference but it definitely overshadowed my experience. I hate complaining but I figured it wouldn't hurt to say something.

One of my favorite couples!

I enjoy getting updates on my couples. Cat and Reese's 2nd book didn't disappoint. I was pretty pleased to see that it was more than an extended epilogue. This was a full story with a couple suspenseful storylines. The only difference is that the book starts out with the couple already together and married.

The fact that we don't have the angst of the building of the relationship doesn't mean we don't have a captivating story to follow. If you have read book one and you should before reading this one, you know that Reese is a defense attorney and Cat writes for her local newspaper as well as true crime novels following real live cases.

Since Reese and Cat have gotten together, she goes to every trial Reese has and reports on all his cases. In book two, Reese has just taken on a wealthy heiress accused of murdering her father for her inheritance. As a secondary storyline, Reese had a stalker several years back who has decided to show back up and cause problems right when he least expects it.

The author did such a great job of showing how strong Reese and Cat's relationship was when his stalker makes an appearance. Most couples would have crumbled over less. I loved these two!
