Resumen del Editor

It's been 12 years since she picked the wrong brother....

Destiny Fisher is ready to move past the guilt and shame of losing a fiancé to the war in Afghanistan 12 years ago. She never should’ve said yes to his proposal in the first place, and she's been plagued by her choices for more than a decade. She was his biggest regret.

Trent Dawkins has been married to the army ever since he walked away from his brother's funeral...and from the woman he loved. Delta Team Three is his family. Destiny has avoided him for all these years. Does seeing him remind her of his brother? Can the two of them face their demons and move forward?

A chance encounter leads to a flood of emotional baggage. Neither of them is certain they can repair the damage. There are so many obstacles. Distance, secrets, a threat to Trent’s life...maybe they weren’t meant to be.

Destiny's Delta is the second book in the Delta Team Three series. It can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Communication is everything

While you don’t have to read these books in order, it gives you a better understanding of each member of Delta Team Three. This book gives us Trent, aka Zip, story. Trent has been in love with Destiny since she moved next door at the age of 5…along with his twin, they were the three musketeers…until she started dating, then got engaged to his brother. Even after losing his brother to an IED, Trent has stayed away…until now. However, trouble has followed him home from his last mission and he doesn’t want it to touch Destiny. Destiny loves Trent, she really does, but she’s cautious about a relationship with him and the repercussions in their small Texas town. Stay tuned to see if these two can overcome hefty challenges and get their HEA.

wrong choice in narrators

The book itself was ok. The narration was horrible. The female made the male lead sound very pretensious and the male narrator made the male sound like an excitable teenager. I probably would have liked it better if zi had read the book instead of listened to it.

Could have been better

I normally don't write reviews often but holy crap the female narrator reading this book was horrible. I think I would have preferred it more with the male alone or with another female. First time listening to Lacy Laurel and hopefully I won't have to again. I'm sorry I don't want to be mean but her voice is just horrible. Her expressions sounded nasally and it just killed it for me. I just wanted to book to be done and to stop listening to her. Fingers crossed that book 3 has another female narrator or I would have to give up on this series.

Storyline not up to par

I was disappointed in the writing by this author. It was a bit cheesy. Very sub-par compared to the 1st book.
The narration was ok in their own voices/characters, however when they spoke in the other persons voice, ugh! Awful!
Not an author I’ll seek out in the future.

I’m really disappointed

Really disappointed in this audiobook. The narrators were not so good. They did great as their character but when the spoke as another it was horrible. It made the characters seem like adolescence. It also made the characters themselves contradict what they were trying to betray. One part they are strong then when the other spoke for them they were whining. I couldn’t finish this.

To fast

the story might have been better with different readers. the voices were not well done, the speed was to fast that they read it. the inflection of words were not correct. i literally had to slow down the speed. i

Terrible

I only listened for about an hour and then returned the title. The male narrator is fine when he does Trent's voice but his female voices are awful. Wasn't crazy in general about the female narrator but her male voice was also awful.

The story itself was also somewhat childish and melodramatic, with "parts of them dying" and things "chipping away at their souls " and Destiny whining about not being able to go out with Trent because of his brother.

Female Narrator was horrible

I picked up this series because I LOVE Susan Stokers books. This series is done in her universe, so I was really excited to get them. Unfortunately, Lacy Laurel's "male" voice comes across as a nasally combination of valley girl and Mae West - not a voice I would ever associate with a strong alpha male. It was so horrible, I had a hard time getting through enough of it to leave this comment. Thankfully, I also purchased a Kindle copy of the book, so I could finish the story there. Alexander Cendese did a good job with the male voice, but even his female voice left a lot to be desired. It came across more as a whispery young girl. Not someone who is supposed to be a strong woman. The story itself was okay - but wasn't strong enough to outweigh the negative of the narration.
