Resumen del Editor

The Crosse Harbor Time Travel Trilogy

Book 1 - Somewhere in Time

Book 2 - Tomorrow & Always

Book 3 - Destiny's Child

It's not every day a woman goes traveling through time.

Dakota Wylie is a wisecracking, unemployed, overweight psychic librarian from Princeton.Patrick Devane is an angry, hard-headed spy with a six-year-old daughter who hears voices.

The only thing they have in common is New Jersey.

But when Dakota leaps from the basket of a hot air balloon to help his crying child, little does she know that she's leaping into history...and love.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Wonderful wit, a feisty heroine, a gifted child, and great glimpses of friends from the past combine to make magic!" ( Romantic Times)
"A monumental talent." ( Affaire de Coeur)
"Very few romance writers create characters as well-developed as Bretton's. Her books pull you in and don't let you leave until the last word is read." ( Booklist)

Entertaining

Pretty entertaining , but the author overused phrases like " Brooked no Argument " . And the little girl in the story is constantly called "the child" - over and over - instead of the little girl , or girl, daughter , etc. Frustrating .

VERY Disappointed that the story ended... :)

I would love to see this series extended about 10 more books. I think there are enough characters that could take a ride and I would live to see Jenny in the flesh within Dakota's new time... at least for a visit.

Worse narration..If that's possible..

Any additional comments?

I read/listened to the other two books but was a little hesitant about buying this one, and I was right. As I said in my other review I live in the real world and I read to get out that world, so I really don't want overweight heroines, what the author described as an ugly six year old and a horrible hero. So, yes, I was disappointed. She spent too much time comparing food to every situation and talking of her weight. AND no child should ever be referred to as ugly by everyone in the house, I don't care what era it's in. There was explicit sex but there was no real sexual tension between Patrick and Dakota, which ruins the sex, as far as I'm concerned.
As much as I like time travel I doubt if I'd ever read another time travel from this author, if she writes one.

As to the narrator: Ms. Hegarty seemed to get worse instead of better. She really didn't even try the make the men sound like men and has no emotions whatsoever. I'm so done with this narrator.
