Another good book.

Good story, progression killer cliffhanger. Similar humor and story progression as other books if you like them, you’ll like this. pacing is probably faster than other books.

the focus wasn't only food this time!

I've been really enjoying this series. My only real criticism with the previous books was that Craig focused too much (in my opinion) on meals! I get that food is a huge part of his and Skippy's writing, but this book didn't focus so heavily on it. Oh also it was action packed!

Total Badassery

As always, Craig and Bray deliver! I adore Duke and Boots as characters and I'm completely in love with how Bray portrays the Djinn.

I hope many people are discovering this enjoyable and quirky series.. Every Character is important and well developed.. RC BRAY is a master class.. Love the series cant wait for next book

Just Keeps Getting Better

First, I really enjoy reading Craig Alanson stories!! There's always personal interactions between the characters that might be inane to some, but I enjoy them - and many times I find myself smiling or laughing at those interactions!! They really make the book.
Second, RC Bray narrations are always enjoyable!! He does a great job with differentiating characters with his voice and he somehow personifies those characters.
Third, I typically don't read fantasy books. I make an exception for Brandon Sanderson & Craig Alanson. I wasn't sure about this series and some of the earlier books drove me nuts!!! Especially when it comes to Cas getting some training, and with Cas NOT paying attention and repeating stupid mistakes. Well, that is the only sore spot in this book - he has the chance to ask some serious training/nutrition questions - and he ignores the obvious!!! He also does some stupid at the end of the book, but it does set up a nice seque for the next book. Overall, this is one of the better stories in the series and there is some noticeable improvement regarding my pet peeves - not that anyone cares!! LOL

its on of those stories where you become watched the the characters and are drawn into the adventure with them. very enjoyable and a series I will read over and over again.
