Binged this book in 3 days. absolutely zero slow down. nothing short of amazing.

Favorite scifi novel I have read so far!

Perfectly executed story and performance, no criticism from me, other than why aren’t more people talking about it! Must read!

Demon in White

Great book, great narration. This is a phenomenal series. If you’re three books in then you already know that. Most people rate Demon in White above Howling Dark. I’m the opposite. I think book 2 was slightly better. That being said, I enjoy this story immensely. Can’t wait to start book 4.

Three 5 star books in one!!

Just as the review title says.

This has 3 complete stories, what could have been 3 seperate books in the series all smushed pinto one volume. And each section is 5 stars.

Best of the series

After coming off of mid reviews of the first two books in the series, this one was a home run. The authors writing is much better and the pacing doesn’t drag anymore.
He reaps the benefits of the previous two books’ set up and it all works wonderfully.
There was a few chapters that were confusing- one felt intentionally so and one not so much, but overall great experience and I’m happy to have pushed through the first 1.5 books to experience this in full glory.

I will say that while this book came first in publishing order, there are a lot of references to a story he would later write in the first Tales of the Suneater short story series that may be helpful to read first.

Terrific story, excellent narration to match

I thought the story was exciting, good set ups, good payoffs. Narrator does the story justice once again!

Well worth the time

I rarely give five start reviews but this entire story has been amazing. I am probably a little biased because I have read a lot of bad stories lately. Not really bad but cheap and lazy. In a lot of others stories you can almost predict what is going to happen because of the way characters and plots are put together. It is like the writer is following some very generic and cliche story telling script and all of the pieces become predictable. These stories have a complexity and dialogue that is very engaging. The use of quotes and historical input is not used as story filler but rather it enhances the story and gives insight into the main characters essence. I never felt like the story was droning and I never sighed at the typical love interest cliche things in other stories or the cliche use of cursing. The relationships and language all worked together to tell a very good story.

Glad I stuck with it

I liked the first two books, but they had their flaws. Almost every scene was too long and they felt overly indulgent.

I’m happy to say that this book has rectified most of those complaints for me. Most of that can be attributed to the main characters growth. This was good, and I hope that the next books continue in this groove.

Story telling

Amazing read, best one in the series yet. I highly recommend this book and series
