Resumen del Editor

Most will die. Some will survive. A small few will thrive.

The mysterious Overlords destroyed all electronics on Earth, imposed a game-like System, and unleashed ravenous horrors upon the planet.

I’m Noah Clark, a streamer famous for my ability to beat co-op games while playing solo. The System doesn’t care if we live or die, but I was able to pick the hidden summoner class, so I’ve got access to game breaking mechanics that just might give me a chance.

The System is uncompromising and built to kill, but I will defy it.

When is book 2 audible out?

I enjoyed all of this. The characters weren’t overly annoying or exasperating. The story was smooth. Maybe level a little quicker but other than that. Good story!

Enyoed

I enjoyed it. Very straightforward, a system apocalyptic event happens. The MC tries to save the new safe zone by killing monster and gaining the coins required for it while making friends along the way.

the story is there.. everything else.. ehhh

this is a preliminary review as I haven't finished the book yet. My biggest issue is the female narrator and horrible inconsistencies.

The system voice is female and that's perfectly fine. Shenade, the first female MC.. she sounds fine but her volume is WAY louder than the male narrator whom narrates everything else so its a bit jarring. in a way it sounds like her audio was inserted after the fact and doesn't flow naturally.

ivy, the 2nd female mc... makes me want to delete the book everytime she talks. she sounds like a 90 year old southern woman with a low iq.

another oddity and this one concerns the male narrator as well.. they are in Indiana.. but numerous people have like this Chicago/Boston/irish accent. it's weird.

The inconsistencies.. its like the author has goldfish brain occasionally. the biggest issue for me is that these inconsistencies happen within sentences of each other, how does your info change so quickly?

examples. picking up 20 loot chest saying it took up 2 pages of the inventory but then when he opens them its only the 10 on the first page. orrrrr eating dinner and it states he finished his bread and then his soup and how he was amazed it was gone already but that he was full. then literally like the next sentence or 2 hes eating his bread and soup again.

there was a few more situations like that but I can't remember the details. What worries me the most about this is now I'm not sure if the MC is just occasionally an idiot or if it's because the author forgot what was possible or is going on.

for example. the first time he goes out from the safezone he takes a bag of supplies. Great. the problem is they are all fascinated with the inventory ability, it's still amazing to them hours into the book later. does he put this bag of supplies into his inventory? nope. and then later returns to the safe area early because all the stuff got soaked. not even his friends mention/ask why he didn't put them in his inventory. its possible that pre system stuff wont go in the inventory but that's never stated and as far as I know up to this point never tried. Is this author oversight? or character oversight?

I don't want to give away anything else but theres been other things that pop up or get mentioned once but don't seem to exist later.

I feel like the story is there and the male narrator is good but the writing needs some editing

Pretty Good Book

The main character Noah is a game streamer in college getting ready to go to veterinary school the world is taking over by the system and then all hell brakes loose. He quickly teams up with the woman RN from this college as people are dying all around them and all over the world he tries to save his grandparents and then meets another woman who also teams up with and eventually the stereotypical nerd except this time that nerd is gay and has some weird love affair with the Ninja Turtles. He literally is attracted to Leonardo. The gay character Milo is stereotypically over the top gay but not to a point where you'll be super annoyed. The female characters are extremely whiny despite that this is still a really good book you can definitely make it all the way through to the end. Don't think I'd buy the next one especially with the cheesy Lord of the Rings ending the cut that didn't heal.

level one story

This book is good for teens and those new to litRPG. This is not a good book for sci-fi or veteran litRPG enthusiasts. Good premise and start to world building, but too many plot holes and questionable logic and conclusions. Every character besides the mc is a plot device built to support their story.

Don't Judge a Book by Its cover...

Really, don't. The cover art and title have almost nothing to do with the story, only the theme and genre.
A gaming streamer in college is our MC. He goes the full chuuni as he is "unique" in his knowledge of video games and being able to navigate a new HUD as the world is integrated into a "System" as typical in this genre.

He is almost too perfect of an MC; smart, caring, courageous, self-sacrificing, and charismatic. as much as he pushes the idea of going solo, he truly acts the part of a Hero on a quest and gathering aids to his side as he moves to protect the little peace he has found in his new world.

Going into this with no skepticism about humanity, and believing in the hope of humans doing what is right, and suspension of disbelief of the Gary Lou tropes, this is a decent read. It is a good introduction to the genre, and possibly more for a youthful audience.

action heavy

Well done but a bit bland because of a lack of major arc or world building. Takes place on a post system earth with mmorpg style quests monsters and loot. I personally had a tough time staying interested in what was going on. It needs some story background world building political conflict. There is more than enough dudebro gamer party goes on some quests for loot with the antagonists generic monsters the party has a quest to kill

Quality great but storyline.

I initially liked the story line but then it became just like a lot of other books in litrpg derivative.
