Resumen del Editor

Two crews return to Titan. Who will survive?

Titan: The largest moon of Saturn. A deadly enigma harboring the greatest secret in the history of humankind.

In the wake of the first mission, two companies with very different goals plot a return to that distant moon. Their ships are safer, their technology has improved…and they want answers. The competition triggers a new space race that will push the crews to the very edge of survival.

Yet Titan does not hold all the secrets.

On Earth, a startling ocean discovery reveals that whatever created the alien artifacts has been to our planet before…and it’s coming back.

Well done near future sci fi

Some have complained there is too much technical detail in these stories. I disagree. I like technical explanations. I find the details refreshing as opposed to endless starship battles.

Additionally the characters are three dimensional and emotionally developed so you can understand motives and actions. And there’s just enough snarky dialogue to lend reality and levity.

Maintains your attention

The story kept going. Great characters and just enough information on each. Storyline kept moving and did not bog down with, to much information.

Titan Chronicles Series

Plot. Throughout the three-book series, we're dealing with an alien entity whose objectives aren't obvious, at least to this writer. There is a slew of techno-babble that will either delight or frustrate the space fans among us - mostly frustrate. It's not simply a space opera - but also includes sabotage and corporate espionage - and a bit of romance. But ... it's never clear exactly what the aliens want besides a moon of Jupiter, Titan, or the planet Venus. Do the aliens want to be friends? You'll never know - at least, I couldn't tell. Throw in the annihilation of mankind because of comets/meteors. Wait...what? Aliens AND meteors?

Liked. No sex, no offensive language, clean reads. Narration is fine; no trouble discerning who is speaking to whom. Bumped the speed to 1.5.

Not so hot. Holes in the story - lots - unnecessary subplots and characters. Needs a story editor.

Written by Samuel Best and narrated by Jonathan Davis. Each story is in the area of 10 hours of listening in unabridged audiobook format, released from March 2022 through August 2022 by Podium Audio.

ok

The first book was ok but the ending was pretty good and led to me purchasing the second book. I don't think I will continue to the third book.

Great premise

Really enjoyed this second book and look forward to the third. Usually realistic. Interesting enough characters. A great escape.

skip to the last book?

Like the first book, nobody knows what's going on. But that doesn't stop anybody from launching expensive, probably suicidal missions. Something is learned. Someone acts on an ulterior motive. Somebody dies or comes close to dying. Lovers separated long to be reunited. Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat. Minimum page count reached. See you in the next installment. This series has revealed itself as one of my least favorite types of story.
