Resumen del Editor

Hayden’s nightmares are a bit too real for comfort, but are they nightmares or are they memories? While walking down Main Street in her hometown, Hayden sees the woman who haunts her dreams. She’s convinced the woman cursed her and her siblings, and she’s not willing to let her get away with it.

Hayden attacks the woman, landing herself in a psychiatric hospital for over a year. When a stranger comes to help her out of her predicament, Hayden learns her nightmares had only just begun. Soon, she’s faced with many challenges that test her limits and force her to accept her past and present are about to collide.

With the help of some new friends, Hayden manages to convince her family to uproot their lives and join her fight against evil, but she never anticipated the turn her life would take. The evil is catching up, and Hayden is in its crosshairs. Can she protect herself and the people she loves from complete annihilation, or will she succumb to the power that calls for her?

The third installment of The Immortal Grimm Brothers’ Guide to Sociopathic Princesses delves deeper into the unknown and offers a different (and creepy) perspective you haven’t seen before!

Enticing

The narrator, Sarah Jareczek, does a nice job of keeping you engrossed. This isn't even a book I'd ever pick for myself, and I was into it for the most part. There were parts of emphasizing different characters that was a bit much for me, but overall she did a wonderful job.

Belle Upside Down Fairytale Apocalypse Style

Parents- PG-PG13 - this is acceptable for preteens and up
Language- None
Violence- PG13- normal to genre, nothing overly graphic, abuse mentioned but not in depth
Sexual Content- PG - normal cozy romance with kissing and snuggles, no bedroom scenes to warn of

I am really loving the creativity and how unique the author is with twisting each of these fairy tales and then seamlessly connects them all. The character and world building is so well done that I found myself drawn into the series. The plot moves at a great pace and is definitely hard one to put down. This book has a more chaotic feel and the characters even identify it as a fairy tale apocalypse. The mystery element is a hit stronger in this one with finding where the "darkness" is coming from. My favorite quote from this book is " It's funny how we instinctively trust beautiful people."-- very fitting to this story. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes the flipped fairytales retellings. I can't wait to see where the next fairy tale adventure goes!

Narrator- had a pleasant voice but there were quite a few characters that didn't have much difference between the voices, which made it a bit tricky at times to follow who was speaking. She was a bit slow as well but I found the normal speaking rate at 1.3x speed.

Exciting Dark Fantasy

I enjoyed book 3 of "The Immortal Grimm Brothers' Guide To Sociopathic Princesses" the most so far. M. J. Padgett has taken fairytale characters and twisted and molded them into sociopathic princesses that become more and more devious with each book in this series. I'm looking forward to more stories. Sarah Jareczek's narration was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Exceptional story!

This journey through the forests and hinterlands in the land of witches, shifters, trolls and sociopathic princesses keeps getting better and better. This is a series, not standalones, because there are a number of characters who have a "human" name, as well as their "magical" name and each has a backstory. The story is visually beautiful, the characters are multi-layered and the journey moves back and forth through time. This series began in "Snow Kissed" with Wil Grimm, along with his brother Jay, telling the real version of his fairy tales, as opposed to the false version that we've all been told for centuries. What we never knew is that Cinderella wasn't the choice of the prince and Snow White was entirely evil. What we discover as we read, is that there's real evil in the world, but there's also the evil that is forced on us. In Deceptively Beautiful, Hayden (sister of Sutton and Matthew) has been suffering through nightmares concerning the woman whose curse turned them into werewolves once a month, and one day she spots her when she's awake. She attacks her and is locked up in a psychiatric hospital where she languishes for a year before Sutton comes to "bail her out." When she's released, Hayden's story moves quickly with perfect pacing. I have to admit that I was so engrossed in the complexity of the storytelling and the new characters who came into their lives to lead them through their next obstacles, that I didn't mind missing a few meals! Sarah Jareczek does a wonderful job with the narration. Her strength is the unique accents associated with each of the characters that I am able to recognize immediately. This is the third story of the series that concludes in book 7. I highly recommend it!
