Detective Norman Norman meanwhile is landed with the case from hell. A burglar known as The Night Caller has been targeting the larger houses of Hampshire. And, just Norman’s luck, his latest victim is the former Chief Constable — who makes no secret of his contempt for Norman’s investigative efforts.
There’s no way The Night Caller would be interested in old Mr Winter’s modest property. But then Slater and Norman uncover a connection . . . and the case takes a disturbing twist.
To find the answers, the two detectives must dig deep into the past. But are they prepared for the secrets they’re about to uncover?

Continues to Entertain
Slater and Norman continue to be a fun team to follow. This is a good mystery, even if you figure out the villain, it's an interesting story..
