The suspense.

The suspense had me all the way, it was just brilliant. Looking forward to the next book.

Even though I cried, some plot aspects a bit much.

Love these characters who are all so larger than life. And the biggest plot pieces were so predictable because so many allusions were made to things that were about to come, you saw all the things coming. Yet, because I love these characters it still did tug on my heart strings. The narrator is fantastic for all the men in the story but the women and kids? Except for Mackenzie I just cringe at these voices- Emma? Gag- she sounds like a sick elf or something. Sam is terrible and Anna doesn’t speak anything like I would have imagined her to. It’s almost distracting.

Reuniting with old friends

This was fantastic! Very difficult investigation for the police and plenty of drama for the readers. Well done, LJ Ross and narrator, Jonathan Keeble.

Great storyline, tugged at the heart, I couldn’t help but cry over this one. Looking forward to Ryan catching the spider.

I listened in one go. Such a captivating story line. I am a huge fan of this series and have listened to all the books many times. Never disappointed .

Jonathon Keebles narration is so great for DCI Ryan. He makes u feel like u r right there with them. Great storyline,.LJ Ross has written another great book for the series. I can't wait for the next one. Thank you.

Whodunnit!

WOW! I laughed and cried. LJ Ross has done it again. I’ve missed Ryan and the team. I feel like they’re family and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Great story!

I love this authors creativity. I have to put a critique in here though on the performance. They should consider using someone else for the child’s voice. Sounds like a goblin of some sort, I cringe every time the child talks.

The earlier books in the series were more enjoyable

The dramatics were laid on rather thickly. The series has gotten totally predictable. I’m disappointed as I really like the earlier books in this series.
