Mystery bookstore owner Annie Laurance didn't really want to go to her neighbor's Valentine Day masked ball - particularly not after the voluptuous brunette made a pass at Annie's husband, Max. Annie and Max are great but Laurel, Henny and course the cats Dorothy L and Agatha. I was less enthused with the suspects, but it was likely just myself. Besides, I have read this story many times before, so it's hardly fair to judge it too harshly.

This is a bit of a confusing, and too many words to describe things. Much too many to make the story flow.
