The problem is that the more Swagger learns about what happened in Zabol, the more he questions the U.S. government’s support of Zarzi and the more he identifies with Cruz as hunter instead of prey.

I thoroughly enjoy Stephen Hunter’s work. This novel, like all the others in the Swagger series, did not fail to impress. Dead Zero opens the door for an entirely new generation of Swagger novels which needless to say left me excited to see what will come next.
