Haunting

Day Boy is haunting and beautiful; on the surface a vampire story but the poetry and depth of the writing and brilliance of the narration raise it above simple classification. It is a graceful coming-of-age set against a brutal backdrop of seemingly hopeless lives devoid of choice. Not for the faint of heart, but well worth the journey.
