A psychological thriller

Dawn That Brings Death is the second in the Mynart mystery series by Addison Michael. It begins almost a year after the first book ends, and continues with Paige’s story. Things are going very well for her and her baby, new marriage, great job, but she can’t outrun her past. This book ends of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next book. The narration by Mira Williams is great. Her performance brings the characters and story to life. I received this audiobook free for my honest review.

Awesome Mystery

I was so consumed with listening to all 3 books at once I did not realize I forgot to leave reviews for books 2 & 3 of this series. In this book Paige flees to Canada where she carves out a life for herself and her child. She knows people are looking for her but she tries to stay under the radar. The tragedy she left behind continues to haunt her as the mystery unravels. There are so many unexpected twists. Mira Williams delivers a great performance.

Narrator is terribly boring. Story has some ridiculous details such as the white hot metal door to the occupied shed that is burning from a candle.

A Strong Follow-Up to Book

The story continues in Dawn That Brings Death and is just as gripping as the first book. The subtle hints of the paranormal work well within the mystery and add an interesting layer to the story. Despite her questionable past and some of the choices she makes, there’s enough about Paige that keeps you rooting for her. The pacing feels right, and the twists and turns carry enough tension to make you want to immediately pick up book 3.
