great story

I enjoyed this one as much as the first book. The story is great with a decent plot

Dark’s Savior

This is one of the best scifi romances I have read in over a year! The story was great! The plot flowed well, the slow burn was delicious and this was a first time read for me by this author. The audiobook narration was wonderful!

Great Characters

Really enjoyed listening to this The character descriptions were great you can really envision each character as they were developed the story was really good looking forward to the next one

Gets better

This book started off slow and drug along until midway and then began to improve. The ending didn’t seem like things were resolved and one major thing was left unsaid and addressed. I liked the narrator of first book better for female characters; had to again get used to Heathers scraggly voice; which I did once more action erupted. Jeffrey did a good job with male characters. Will probably listen to the next book in series if it is ever written and released.

Good overall

As mentioned in other reviews, the first book was better. This book in comparison, though interesting, wasn’t as exciting a listen. The performance by the narrators was average but didn’t quite embody the characters. Overall a good book and set up for the continuation of the series.

I haven’t finished it but the FMC it’s so annoying and dumb honestly like isn’t she’s supposed to be smart to be studying aliens 🤦🏻‍♀️

Warning, you wont be able to put down!

I listened to the entire audiobook in one day. I did 2 puzzles, 8 loads of laundry and cleaned most of my house it kept me so intrigued!

Finally! Good sci-fi romance

I am buying all her books because it’s hard to find great sci-fi romance books with smart characters! Love the slow to burn feel between the love interests too!

Wow for twists and turns.

I am so impressed with this installment in the series!!! I have been pushing this book down my TBR list fearing that I would not be as good as the first when I have found that perhaps it is even better. They are very different stories and yet both remarkably well written and the romance is over the top. I was truly moved by the intimacy between the main characters and perhaps singed a little by the heat of the sex scenes. For those looking for lots of smut, you may be disappointed at the wait. However as a dedicated smut lover, I was so thoroughly engaged in the story that I did not even miss my chapters of smut. Hang in there for the outstanding crescendo at the end. It is so thoroughly satisfying that I had an actual smile on my face. I look forward to the next book as I cannot wait to see what is instore for him!!!!

good adventure... but...

could have been better. well written so that you can really visualize the world the characters are in and the characters themselves are interesting, there's some action and adventure thrown in. exploring the " ancients" underground city with it's creatures was creative. and I really enjoyed having both main characters POV in this book when book 1 was only the female lead... however there just wasn't enough satisfying interaction between the two leads for me, they started off good with their first meeting and his whole inner primal side ( what fan of SFR doesn't love a good inner best in the male leads) reacting to her and her touch setting up to be a really intense connection that just didn't get explored to it's full potential....which was very disappointing. they were apart more then together, hardly talked alone, and even when they finally had a moment with some real emotional potential it didn't get far and was over quickly. also the male leads harsh upbringing and severe lack of touch set up so well for some really deep moments between him and his lady but that was never taken advantage of either. this could have been really good, it had all the potential. if only the connection between the two main characters had been given some real attention. narration at least was decent.
even liking both Mason Lloyd and Felicity Monroe who apparently narrate the next book in the series I'm not sure I'm interested in listening if it's more events but no satisfying connection.
