If you are a fan of the series, maybe.....
I loved this series, or should i say i loved it up until i read this book. This was the final installment in the Wicked Lovely series. I could have done without purchasing this, it was definately mediocre when compared to the others in this series.(which i thought were fabulous!) and the ending? well, all i can comment on that is "what a disappointment!" I should have passed on this one.

I adore this story line and LOVE the Author.... I would most definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes gritty mythological characters that are seeded in the true legends of these creatures. . not the fluffy sparkle fairytale's of the present

Loved it!
I already have the first four in paperback copies, and haven't been able to come across this book in store yet, so when I saw it was available on here, I jumped on it! I'm so glad that I could finally finish this series up and it was a wonderful book overall! It took a little adjustment from typically reading to the audio book, but this was entirely worth it!

I AM SUCH A FAN OF THIS AUTHOR AND THIS SERIES AND WAS SO DISAPPOINTED TO HAVE LOST MOST OF MY VISION IN A CAR ACCIDENT THIS YEAR JUST AFTER BUYING THIS BOOK IN THE STORE AND TO HAVE FOUND IT ON AUDIBLE AND GET TO FINISH IT WAS INCREDIBLE! I CRAVE THE WRITING FROM THIS AUTHOR AND AS USUAL WAS NOT LET DOWN! EVERY BOOK HAS BEEN LIKE TAKING A STEP INTO ANOTHER WORLD-CREATIVE,RIVETING,AND ROMANTIC, ONE YOU JUST CAN'T PUT DOWN YET AGAIN!

Finally, it's over
What did you like best about Darkest Mercy? What did you like least?
I did like that it ended and Aislinn was finally a badass and stopped whining. I didn't like that everyone gets what they want in the end. There's some suffering, but no really deaths or consequences. Irial didn't even die properly. Ugh. I don't like it when authors can't let go of their characters.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Irial would have stayed dead, Seth would have lost an eye, and Donia would have saved the day. Oh and Keenan would have died too maybe.
What about Nick Landrum’s performance did you like?
He was fine. Weird names with weird pronunciations.
Did Darkest Mercy inspire you to do anything?
Yes, to listen as quickly as possible for it to end so I could start something else.

I hope Melissa Marr's other books are better.

A Great Final 5th Book!
What does Nick Landrum bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
This is his 4th appearance for this book series. The first book was a different narrator. I enjoyed the first narrator more than Nick Landrum.
With that said, I think he did a good job.

This final book felt a little rushed. However it was very good and the ending was good.
