Great book

Loved the narration. Excellent and very interesting content. I've listened to it more than once.

Great listen but some story points were repetitive

Great listen but some story points were repetitive. This filler made the story way too long. This is a great story how cybercrime and organized crime interact in the real world.

I would like to have heard more about the potential privacy issues that some of the foreign governments dealt with on how evidence was obtained.

super interesting, little known story with some dull beats

overall I really enjoyed this..super fascinating story that I think very few people have heard about. the book dragged in sections and the narrator was a little wooden..there were a couple parts where I had to push myself to keep going...but on the whole it was good and I am glad to have read it and finished it

A fascinating story

I saw a video from DefCon about this and wanted to learn more. Such a vast undertaking. It shows some of the back and forth between tech companies whose users assume they protect their data and the law enforcement agencies that wish to circumvent these protections.
Mainly though, it shows the criminals and how they stay one step ahead of law enforcement.

Amazing story

I typically listen to self development or business related books. This one was a really good find. A podcast called darkner diaries led me to this book. Such a crazy story…kept me on edge wanting to hear more. Gonna be said when it’s over.

Thought Provoking

Amazing to hear the success and depth of this undercover operation!!! But to counter that success, it is worth reading the epilogue first to think about the possible ramifications of use of this technology on citizens daily lives.

How much crime there really is. In places where I didn't think there was much crime.

Overall very good, loses a bit focus, aprubt end

Very good book, flows like a movie, and the author does a good job of pacing the story and giving the listeners breathing room to learn the various different characters. The build up is great, but the climax is hard to recognize, and the cool down was a bit of a rushed effort to wrap up the book.

The book begins with very specific character stories but at the end it is about mass numbers and stats. It would be great to learn more personal aspects of the characters, but this being a crime expose I can see that being close to impossible. It would have been possible to look at lesser known, but public info, cases about these issues and how it can impact every day persons lives and not just criminals. Overall averages out to a 5/5.

pacing was as if vm watching a movie

i worked in wireless since the early 90s and never knew the depth and scope of the technology that was available. we were operating at the surface clueless to it's capabilities. bravo for bringing to a what could be nerdy and boring material to life in an exciting and riveting manner.
