Love this series!!

Love this whole series and this book is no exception. A slow burn with humor sprinkled throughout. An amazing performance brings the characters to life. My coworkers definitely noticed me laughing a few times.

Luke is a recovering veteran with plenty of issues and no desire to date anyone. Anna is looking for forever for herself and her son. Throw them together in a bar during a horrible date gone wrong and watch the antics ensue.

Love it!

I adore this couple. From the dares to the friendship they develop to the heat they bring, they are perfect!! I absolutely love the way Maria Luis is able to create such a delicious push and pull between characters without making one of them the bad guy. I was cheering this couple on from beginning to end!

The narration is well done. While I wish there was also a male narrator, that is simply a matter of personal preference. I didn't have any trouble listening to this one.

amazing chemistry with all characters

Luke O’Connor had so much to offer a woman, but he spent his whole life thinking he was unworthy. I loved the way that Anna was able to not only get under his skin, but show him how amazing and worthy he was. His subtle moments of doing things just for her, even though he was giving himself excuses were so adorable. Their chemistry was palpable..even as just friends. And when they got together, it ignited.
Luke’s sweet & easy relationship with Julian was so special…as seen in their embrace. There’s just something about a man embracing the woman’s child…but when that child is a teenage boy, I don’t know why it’s I much more.
I absolutely adored Luke & Anna’s story…& I’m about to jump right on Julian’s short story!!

Another great listen from the voice of Jae Delane. Perfect southern voice

Who can resist a dare?

Love this series based in NOLA. This is single mom, Anna’s story. At the old age of 32, mom to a 14yo son, and a business that’s finally on track, Anna is ready to find Mr. Right and settle down. Except the dates are lame!! Enter Luke O’Connor...ex Army man who is recovering from a shattered hip. Luke and Anna agree to a dare...Luke will find 3 dates with ‘the perfect man’ for Anna. Throw in a male Great Dane named Sassy, a smart mouthed teenager and we have the recipe for book that will keep you laughing and rooting for this pair. Definitely recommend this book.

Cute Story

It was a cute story just like the other two books, but this one was a bit boring.

I loved how the humor had an added layer in this relationship. he was against the world and didn't want anything. but sometimes you just can't turn down a dare.
