Wonderful story, wonderful storyteller.

Had me hooked from the first chapter. I could almost see, hear, smell, and taste each experience as the story unfolds. Thank you. I am an avid (now blind) reader. I love when a story gives you just enough details to image being part of the story, while at the same time not over saturating with minutia. Couldn’t wait to listen to more of your stories.

Just as good if not even better than the movie based on the book. Loved it.

Her Male Voices need some work, but still enjoyed her

Who was the most memorable character of Dancing on the Edge of the Roof and why?

I Loved all the characters, but Millie was the stand out.. she was an elderly lady who still loved life and didn't let her age hold her back

Beautiful Story!

This story was so good that I didn’t want it to end. It was beautiful and had some really great life lessons, but truly the narrator brought this book to life. Kudos to the narrator and author! Also, I think the book was better than the movie.

Good Great Outstanding

Listened to the book after watching the movie adaptation and I must say the book is even better. The story reminds us all that it is never to late in life to make a change. Or go on an adventure. That it’s ok not to look back or fall into old routines and behaviors. I loved listening to the narrator as she made me feel right there in the moment. I recommend to all.

I Am Woman

I was thoroughly entertained being a woman of a certain age I totally understood what the main character was going through although I don’t have children I can sympathize. What captivated me was that she had desire in your heart and soul as she longed for adventure. I guess I’d recommend this to anyone who is afraid to take that first step you have to walk out on fear because fear is only inside your head there’s a whole world out there to live and our main character decided she wanted to live it.

Still possibilities after 40.

Finally fed up with her dead-end job, her selfish adult children and the hopelessness of her life, 40-something Juanita Lewis packs a suitcase, a cooler, a tote filled with notebooks and sets off to find adventure and, hopefully, something better. She ends up in the Paper Moon, Montana, the only black person in a town comprised of white and native American people. It takes a while to get used to the deafening silence (no traffic noise, no drive-by shootings, no arguing neighbors) and the wide open spaces and the fact that she has become something of a local attraction. Here, she finds work, friendship and even love. She also finally comes to accept who her children are and how she needs to let them find their own way. She decides to finish her adventure by finishing the trip she planned, but will return to Paper Moon instead of the home she escaped in Ohio.

I hope the sequel is as enjoyable as this book was.
