Good

I loved the story, but for once, with Marie’s books, was a little disappointed. The story didn’t seem new just retold from a different point of view. I realize this book was a precursor to a new series, but I was hoping for more progression into the new series. I felt like I had already read this book. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to the next book. I love all of Marie’s book and her writing style. I preorder as soon as they are available to do so.

Good Set Up For The Next Series

I enjoyed that this book pulled all of Dan and Kara's stories together. For Gansett faithful it was a bit repetitive because we've read all the other books in the story. That being said it was a good setup for the Down East Series in ME.

Dan and Kara's Story

I enjoyed listening to Dan and Kara's story and reliving what happened on Gansett during the beginning of their relationship. Even though I've listened to all of this series, it was great having a recap and some new information. I'm looking forward to this new series. The narration was good, too.

Sweet and Nice

Such a sweet storyline. A feel good love story. No ridiculous drama. A listen for a rainy weekend.

Memory Lane definitely worth the listen!

Because they didn’t have their own book till now it was slightly repetitive as others have mentioned BUT there were some serious additional details that hadn’t been provided before. I devoured the additional details because they are some of my favorite characters. Highly recommend!

So good

I was beyond excited when I heard that Marie Force had a new series releasing. If this book is anything to go by then she has another winning series on her hand.

We have met Dan Torrington and Kara Ballard in previous books but now it is time for them to be the centre of attention as they kick off the Downeast series set on Bar Harbour, Maine.

I loved learning more about this couple and as always it was wonderful to catch up with my favourite Gansett Island characters.

 This book was everything ai was hoping for and more and has only wet my appetite for the new series.

The narration by Avery Caris was good but I believe the story would be enhanced by dual or duet narration using a male narrator as well. Avery’s voice is easy to listen to and brought the story to life.
