Acerca de esta escucha
In Curated True Crime Volume #13: Cradle Crime, you'll hear about some of the most heartbreaking, premeditated, and tragic murders by people who victimized the most innocent and defenseless victims there are. Follow law enforcement, detectives, and forensic experts as they connect the threads of evidence that lead to relentlessly solving these senseless crimes.
Volume #13 includes:
The Girl Who Never Came Home: On a quiet October evening in 1992, seven-year-old Nikki skipped alongside a man unaware she was walking toward her death. Hours later, she was found in the basement of an abandoned building. For over 30 years, the real killer hid in plain sight. When justice finally arrived, the truth was more chilling than anyone could have imagined.
The Man They Called Uncle: When firefighters entered a family home, what they found was far worse than flames. Seven children and a visiting friend had been bound, bludgeoned and brutally murdered before the fire was ever set. The suspect was a family friend, a trusted figure, and the trial that followed was as haunting as the crime itself.
A Sin Too Great: A successful banker, a devoted wife, four innocent children—on the surface, the American dream. But over the course of one horrifying night it became a scene of unimaginable horror. Prepare to be haunted by the details of a case that proves some sins are simply too great to forgive.
Plus 17 more shocking, true crime murder stories
A Word of Warning: The explicit details of these murders come directly from eyewitness accounts, interviews, police reports, court transcripts, crime scenes, and autopsy reports. They contain disturbing facts that may not be suitable for all listeners.
Prepare to be captivated by the chilling accounts of these true crime cases.

Disturbing
I have read or listened to all of Jamie Malton’s true crime books. This series remains my favorite due to the themed nature of each book.
I found most of these cases disturbing because they all involve the death of young children. It is sickening what some would do to an innocent child. I find the ones regarding nannies most interesting and usually the most vile.
In this book, the Irish nanny’s story struck me the most. It seems she may have been truly innocent, but if that is the case, who did kill the children? I’m curious about cases like this where the one originally convicted is ultimately exonerated but no alternative party is prosecuted. Does the case remain closed? I feel sad for the victims’ families, but also relieved the innocents are released from prison.
If you can handle reviews of crimes against kids, I recommend this book. If not, try one of her others. She does a great job presenting each case with details on both victims and perpetrators. Also, a portion of sales is donated to victims charities. I look forward to reading her next book.
