Resumen del Editor

Never mess with the relics of the old gods… or the pixies who once guarded them.

After her mom’s disappearance six months ago, Bethany Aodhán has been running their tavern in old Deva—something her family had been doing ever since a light-fingered pixie lost them the job of guarding the treasures of the old gods eons ago.

Then her brother, Lugh, is attacked, his best friend murdered, and the tavern firebombed. A confrontation with a former lover leads to the discovery of another murder and a missing jewel from a godly relic, and Beth learns that the Éadrom Hoard—one of three godly hoards now guarded by the elves—has been stolen.

But this is no ordinary theft. Darker forces are at work, and they’re not only seeking the means to resurrect a god of destruction but the power to forever banish daylight. That power lay with Agrona’s Claws—three godly artifacts that, when used together, give the user full control over night itself.

With the webs of suspicion drawing ever tighter around them, Beth & Lugh—with the help of two sexy elves and a cantankerous old goddess who knows far more than she admits—race to find the missing artifacts before those intent on unleashing chaos.

It’s a race they must win, because it’s not just their lives on the line, but the fate of modern-day England.

Keri Arthur

KA is my favorite author. She really knows how to write a strong protagonist the correct way! I love that I can always expect her characters are fully fleshed out and act their ages. I’ve noticed so many of these TikTok authors really love writing super young barely legal protagonists that are very immature and one dimensional. I just read a book where the FMC was 10,000 years old (actual written age per author) but she acted like your typical sheltered teen discovering men for the first time. It really ruins the story for me.

I’m so so excited for this series! However the one thing I didn’t like was the narrator. Sometimes she was fine but her male voices were exactly the same - she talks super super low and makes them almost buttery? She just sounded pretentious. And she made the FC seems so angry at times but the words didn’t match. I think she was confused with how to relay the emotions of the FC. Also she has this thing where she sometimes screeches and talks really really fast. It made me think I accidentally sped up the narration but I didn’t. When I tried to slow it down, she went back to the MC voice of talking super slow. I’m not going to lie, I almost DNF and stopped because it was frustrating. But luckily I just skipped those parts and listened on. I hope KA will switch back to the narrator she used in her previous book! I loved her!
