This book had excellent allegories in it concerning technology and the overall racism pervasive in our society.

The ratio of depressing to hope was sadly skewed towards running the MC through multiple examples of racism and only giving the merest tease for a time-travelling reset button. While I’ve enjoyed this author’s longer works, this one delivered less sci-fi and more indictments on racism.
