Our modern society has called for us to “smash the patriarchy”, and the church has not done much better. Instead of telling men how they can hone and refine their aggressive traits, the church has told men that they should aspire to be meek servant-leaders, and when a man shows any signs of independence, he is shown the door. Men are supposed to found households, join brotherhoods, and work toward a mission. God made men to be strong and aggressive risk-takers. This is a feature, not a bug. Foster and Tennant remind us that it’s good to be a man.

this book should be titled Anti- Youth Program
This book misrepresents scripture and modern society. It's main push is that there should be no Youth Pastor or Program, but that Fathers should be the only ones teaching teens. Problem is that in today's society the Father is absent in a large percentage of homes. this books aim to teach a father that doesn't exist is an abandonment of the fatherless which we are commanded to take care of. kids in youth groups without Fathers at home make up a large percentage of teens that need guidance. This book makes it sound like it was a sin for youth programs to have started at all. There is no sin in starting a ministry as a need for it arises in our changing society.
