An Adventurous, Romantic Paranormal Romance

Thank you to Kat Kinney for allowing me to read a copy of this book. I really enjoyed the story and the plot of this book. I felt like the romance suffered a bit, but it was still very enjoyable overall. And the twist at the end had my jaw drop down to bedrock. It was just such a good book overall, even if there were places where I didn't enjoy it. But I highly recommend this series overall.

Crave Book 2 Blood Moon, Texas Shifters by Kat Kinney is Dallas and Lacey's story. The characters are well written, the romance between the couple is so sweet and the worldbuilding amazing. The narration done by Rebecca Valderrama is really good and I enjoyed this story and this series! Highly recommend!

Dallas and Lacey

Dallas and Lacey – one born wolf and one bitten wolf. Their story begins in High School when both were instantly attracted to the other, but Dallas knew that there could never be anything between him and Lacey – she was human and it wasn’t allowed to be mated to a human. One night when it never should have happened, Lacey was infected after she and Dallas had sex. Things changed instantly – Dallas was sent away for 4 years, is the “black sheep” of the family. He is shunned by most and feels like an outsider. While Dallas was away, Lacey was trained by his mother. Once Dallas returned, they became best friends but never let anything progress further than that – they loved to prank each other and finally they aren’t able to stay away from the other and end up marking each other. Their chemistry is magnetic and yet both are afraid of committing to the other. Did I mention there happens to be Vampires after the werewolves?

When Dallas finds out that Ethan hurt Lacey, it puts a strain on their relationship, but brings Lacey and Dallas closer. Although Lacey knows that she and Dallas would never work (her mom), she can’t help but fantasize about what could have been. The feelings between Dallas and Lacey are intense and real. Obstacle after obstacle is thrown in their way and when Lacey is sick, Dallas is in full protection mode.

The undead are up to something and the Blood Moon pack is on their radar. How are they getting away with what they are doing? Do they have someone on the inside helping them? And what happens when Lacey receives some unexpected news? Will Dallas understand or will he fly off the radar before thinking?

More secrets come out, and the Blood Moon pack is starting to put the pieces together. Although Sofia loves Lacey, she believes that Dallas and Lacey are not good for each other. When will Dallas and Lacey catch a break?

Good listen

Loved the narrator and the book, it was a pleasant shifter story to listen to. Little action, little romance, unrequited love/lust, just what i needed.

The story and characters are well written and developed. I enjoyed the drama, chemistry and journey. Good read.

This book serves as a truly fantastic continuation of the original storyline, and I was completely captivated by how the author beautifully explored the narrative through the fresh and engaging perspectives of Lacey Blair and Dallas Caldwell. The author has a remarkable talent for skillfully weaving their individual journeys and character arcs into the already rich tapestry of the Blood Moon, Texas Shifters series, resulting in a compelling and utterly engaging reading experience that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Furthermore, I must express my sincere commendation of the audio narrator; their performance was nothing short of outstanding, adding another captivating and immersive layer to the experience. Their masterful vocal delivery and interpretation brought the characters and scenes to vivid life, making the story come alive in a truly unforgettable way.

Loved!!!!

Dallas and Lacey are an adorable couple. Dallas accidentally changes Lacey a human into a werewolf. He gets exiled for years. When he comes back he and Lacey keep a secret friendship. Although they both want more from the relationship. This story was romantic, suspenseful and very interesting. The plot is so good.

Great Story

So far, this is my favorite book in the series. I really enjoyed reading Crave. This is the second book in the Blood Moon, Texas Shifters series. Technically, they are all standalones, and could most likely be read in any order; however, I recommend reading the series in order. Each story follows a different couple. However, the plot continues in each book as though it were a regular series. It isn't like the standalone series where each couple has their own story/battle to face - where there isn't a lot of crossover - so it is one that would make more sense to read in order.
I like that the books aren't super long; they are short and easy to read in a day. (I'm listening to the audiobook) I like the idea of the story. I am really enjoying the series so far. I will say, I wish I were reading a physical copy, more so because sometimes it's hard to follow what is going on. If you're someone who listens at a faster pace, you may want to slow it down because you'll need to pay closer attention. (I didn't use to be an audiobook listener, so this could also just be a me issue.)

Overall, I really am enjoying the series and can't wait to read more. I'm basically beinge reading the entire series at this point.
This is more for 18+ readers, as there's some content that may not be suitable for some readers.

Werewolves

Book 2 in the Blood Moon, Texas Shifters series. One word- excellent. I really enjoyed the story and am looking forward to book 3. Dallas and Lacey were friends in high school. Dallas accidentally turns Lacey into a werewolf, which was a big no-no. Years later they reunite, and hit off again. It was a sweet and entertaining story. The narrator did a great job. I received a free copy of the audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Great friendship to mate

Who knew when reading Dark that Lacey had such a complicated and dark past, since her personality was so cheerful and sweet. Dallas and Lacy overcome many obstacles to find their happiness and this is such a good story. Audio gives an extra bonus to the experience.
