Controlled Burn

This Book gutted me the same as it did when I read it. As always, relationships have it's up and down, they made it through but just when that happened, another tragedy drop on Dean's lap, his life is forever changed for what July went through but having a love like they have is a once in a lifetime type of love and no one I mean no one or anything can come between those two. Lani made it happen with this book, the male narrator was spot on for Dean's characters, as for the female narrator, her voice was a little meh🤷🏿‍♀️not in a bad way but it just doesn't sound like I would thought July's voice would sound but she did okay though, well done.

Gangster?

OMG! This story was so good!

This is another one of LLV's best books. The story was really good and was so heartbreaking at one point. The sex scenes was sooo hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I cant decide if I loved Drew or Dean better. They both are swoon worthy. I've not read the other books in the series yet only Drew and Dean's. but the Kilgore Fire series is definitely my favorite of all LLV books. Narrators were great. Jason Clark! (sigh) Need I say more! 🔥💙😍😘

The Woman!!!

I couldn’t stand her voice, especially when she’s trying to be the male. Otherwise it was great!

(PD & July): TRIGGERS: trafficking, brutal assault. So finally we get to learn about PD and his "tastes". PD totally is a ladies man but damn he had three women thirsting after him. The book starts though with PD in a relationship with July who's the sister of Wolf from "Rusty Nail". Because of how Wolf was hurt at work as an officer, July is extremely nervous about PD being hurt or worse. He starts their relationship as a firefighter but then behind her back joins SWAT. There's a time jump and they are no longer together. Clearly there's a lot of anger where she's concerned but there's also extreme love and HEAT between them as well. He just can't help interjecting into her life. That does work in her favor. Their feelings can no longer be denied and it steams up the pages. But nothing in LLV world stays perfect forever… oh the MUTHA F***ING PLOT TWISTS… she will make you laugh, piss you off and make you cry. OMG… you will cry. This book takes a turn down a really dark alley so you gotta buck up and get ready.

I like the fact she is a spit fire and she love with her whole heart even after the break up she stayed faithful to him even though he fooled around with Alexa

Dean and July

Goodness this is story I had been waiting for and I was not disappointed. Dean "PD" and July have the rockiest of roads, they were once an item but July thinks his job is dangerous. This takes them on a journey of self discovery, tragedy, letting go of insecurities, and a passion that will last them a life time. I loved this story.

This audiobook is FANTATIC. Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder absolutely brought this thrilling and emotional story to life.
