A more detailed look at goal acheivement

I'm kind of a self-improvement nut, so I've heard it all, but Jonathan has written a more nuanced look at goal achievement. Jonathan really breaks this down into a science of self-examination, as well as opening your eyes to external factors that could get in your way. This really is a go-to book for setting goals and achieving them.

I would say Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins, but not because the books are similar in content, but both gave put me in a great mental place.

The phone call with his friend who talks about how much she wants to go to Japan, but never does...even though she had every opportunity to see her dream realized.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A man decides to seize his destiny against all odds.

Thankfully this was not yet another motivational book that rehashes the same old you-can-do-it attitude, and sprinkles in a rainbow of touchy feely mantras. This is the real deal. Jonathan Green is not a New Age bullshit artist or a snake oil salesman. This is the road map to go from dream to reality.

Introspective and motivating

Jonathan Green has written a guide to understanding why some goals are accomplished but others aren't. I sense that it's easy for us to believe that we did not achieve a particular goal because it was too big, too difficult or too out of reach, but Jonathan goes into the intricacies of why failure happens and how you can change the outcome. I like the activities in the book, but I must admit that I'm going to do them on my second listen. There is a lot here, and there needs to be, and I really believe I have a lot more clarity in my life after listening to what Jonathan has to say on this subject. I'm looking forward to my second listen because I know I'm going to get even more out of this. Thank you to Jonathan, and thank you to John for doing such a great job narrating.

Another great book from Jonathan Green.

I'm really enjoying his Serve No Master series. Jon takes us step-by-step through exactly how we can determine the outcome of our lives. What struck me the most was his chapter on how the people you surround yourself with are major factors in whether or not you'll achieve your goals. Yes, other people have covered that particular facet of goal achievement, but I like the way Jonathan teaches this principle.

If your friends are do-nothings who have a bleak outlook on life, who believe that that the common man will have a common life and a mediocre future, then that's exactly what's in store for you by hanging out with these people.

There's a lot more in this book than that, but I just liked the clarity he brought to the table on that particular point. Speaking of clarity, and speaking of speaking, John Martinson's performance of the text was clear and well-timed. Really good narration and excellent content. Five stars.

This book not only the why but the how to. Goal setting and wonderful examples for all areas of your life. Listen once, listen again. Do the activities. Start the day with a chapter. Every day reinforce what he presents.

Meticulous Inner-Examination

Without using a bunch of dreadfully boring high-brow psychological jibber-jabber, Jonathan delves deep into what makes us tick, and what prevents us from achieving our dreams. This is a take action audiobook, so be sure to have a pen and paper ready as there are activities at the end of each chapter. In his classic storytelling form, Jonathan shows you what has been stopping you, but illustrating what used to stop him, or could have stopped him. This is a down-to-earth, no nonsense approach to understanding what it really takes to control your fate. Only for the courageous. An outstanding listening experience. Bravo to both the author and narrator.

Destiny Awaits

This is a step-by-step guide to taking control of your life and accomplishing your dreams. I really loved this book. It's a road trip book. I like when you can listen to an audiobook on a long drive and by the time you get to your destination, if the book delivers what it promises, you'll be a changed person. Jonathan has done just that. I was stopping at rest stops and fuel stops and doing the activities. This is a trip plan for your life. Don't miss out on this one.
