My first book by AK and I enjoyed the writing style which made me feel like I am in the scenes with the characters. I will read the next book in series as I love a good age gap story.

Excellent Narration by Heather Firth and Jeremy York. They really captured the scenes and I even liked when they did the other gender parts!

Conflicting Ventures is the first book in the Belles of Broad Street.
I was so excited to read this book after reading the entire City of Sisterly Love series by AK Landow. When I heard that Heather Firth and Jeremy York were the two narrating this book, I knew I had to listen to it! Of course, they didn't disappoint!
Skylar and Lance's story is so beautifully written. I love seeing past characters appearing in other series. I can honestly say that I feel like a part of this huge family as I'm reading these books.
Lance is top-notch book boyfriend material. He's the perfect gentleman that any woman would want to call hers.
I'm itching to see what comes next in Indecent Ventures, book two of the Belles of Broad Street Series!

Written in the stars!

OMG, Yes! The narration is perfection! It totally roped me in and kept me enraptured in Lance and Skylar's story. Lance and Skylar come from totally different backgrounds but have so much in common. A country boy and a city girl that truly find love through their mutual love of astrology and kinks. This book has it all, extremely steamy scenes, emotional depth, a little angst and amazing family and friends. A definite emotional roller-coaster that had me crying one minute and laughing so hard the next. I love all the banter, puns and possessive men. This is the steamiest book I have read all year and AK Landow is now on my one click list. Beyond 5 magnificent stars!

Flirty, steamy and heartfelt work place romance

This was my first A.K. Landow book and I can’t wait to go back and read more of her work. “Conflicting Ventures” is flirty, steamy and heartfelt workplace friends to lovers romance that pulled on my heart.

Skylar Lawerence is the quiet sister among her three sisters and is content with that. She likes to think about something before she does it. And when she hooks up with a stranger with dimples in the bathroom, that even shocks her. And it shocks her even more when she sees him again and they’re competing against each other for the same account. Lance is new in town and this is his first big break. He’s from a religious small town but is ready to make it in the business world in the big city. And Lance is also ready to prove to Skylar what they have is the real and forever deal.

The first meet between Lance and Skylar was sizzling hot and set up the book so well. And they both had fun and then moved on in respectful ways without any hard feelings, but they kept thinking about each other. I loved that they were both competing for the same job and that job brought them back together. Skylar was an instant like for me and I related to her so much. She’s incredibly close with her sisters and mom but that bond she shared with her dad was so special. Lance is such a good guy and his genuine personality just made the book even more special. I loved how he wasn’t afraid to tell Skylar what she meant to him and voice his feelings. I loved their flirting and banter until they finally gave into the attraction again. Those steamy scenes were so good and had me fanning myself more than once. They weren’t afraid to explore all aspects of what they wanted in the bedroom. The last few chapters were incredibly sweet and wrapped up their story perfectly. The epilogue had me cracking up and was so great for Skylar and her sisters.

Heather Firth and Jeremy York narrated this audiobook and I loved listening to them so much. Heather brought all of Skylar’s kind heart and independence out wonderfully. I loved Jeremy as Lance. Jeremy brought the genuine personality that Lance had to life perfectly and I enjoyed his narration so much.

I couldn't stop listening to this book! It was amazing to hear it come to life, especially Chapter 7 (iykyk hahaha), after having read it multiple time. Jeremy York and Heather Firth did an amazing job with the narration.

What a fun Story!

What a fun story! I enjoyed meeting Skylar and Lance. Star crossed lovers! They both are so darn cute! I enjoy their meet cute and everything after. Seeing her family and how they (especially the men) embrace Lance made me laugh and I feel my face would be red at family functions. Ha Ha! I am used to family being involved in life but not that much. His family was interesting as well but for a different reason.

Throughly enjoyed this one. I did listen to it on audio. Jeremy York and Heather Firth did a wonderful job on narration.
