Hi, I'm Kevin, the author of this book. Let me tell you why you should listen to this book and what I learned from writing it. I can’t get out of bed on my own, but I promoted policies that change the lives of others. I made it to Washington, DC, but I never finished college. I have a career but never had a job. I’ve been the best man at a wedding, but I can’t get a date myself. We get used to seeing the world in a certain way, and after a while all we see is bad, but one person's bad is another one's good.

The circumstances of my life have forced me to have a certain perspective that I wish to share with as many people as possible. I'm a lifelong disability advocate with a tiny blog with a loyal following. I’m not looking to become famous or be an inspiration. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I am very reserved with certain parts of my life. I always cringe a bit when I hear someone call me “inspirational”. I am not a martyr; don’t worship me or pity me. Just see me as you would see anyone else. I want the same things everyone else does. The problem is, society has decided I can't have them. I sat down to write something on breaking down barriers and misconceptions, and before I knew it became something much more.

Everything happens for a reason; I truly believe writing these words was one of the primary purposes of my life. Father God gave me this disability - I’m just trying to make the most out of it. This is not your typical autobiography or memoir. I’m sharing my life experiences as more of a commentary on humanity as a whole. I do my best to sprinkle bits of comedy throughout the composition so it feels more like a conversation between friends than me just talking at you.

You will find open-ended questions throughout the entire book to try to make it an interactive experience. That doesn’t mean you won’t be left with a lot to think about. Ultimately the conclusions you draw after listening will probably vary from person to person. Some will think I am an idiot; others will say I am a lovesick puppy. All that is fine with me. What you think about me doesn’t matter. It’s about how you interact with the rest of the world after I share my thoughts. If I’ve done my job correctly, you will laugh, be angry, be sad, and feel love. Our day-to-day life is hard enough as it is. Maybe this book will make one of those days a little better, and then you can go out and make someone’s day better.

Thank you for reading this description regardless of whether or not you choose to click purchase. I’m sending you all my love and wishing that you have a very nice day.

As a person living with a disability I found myself nodding in agreement with much that is mentioned in this book. I feel that a person not living with a disability Will find this book interesting and informative, it will change the way you see the disabled community.
It is funny raw beautiful and true. The author puts it all out there and bears his soul to the reader. I agree with the author and hope that this book will start a conversation.

In Confessions from Disability Limbo, Kevin Nuñez serves up a very human story that suggests that there’s much more than meets the eye for this man in a powered wheelchair. He outlines a number of ways that the disability community is often overlooked, looked straight through, and assumed to have a victimized posture. He presents instead an eye-opening narrative that answers many questions while guiding the reader along the road of empathy, or as he would suggest more importantly, greater understanding.

The compelling performance by Sean Cordry provides vitality, feeling, and audibly reflects the nuance in narrative “voice” change of Nuñez, as each shift the inflection to convey at times seriousness of purpose, levity in storytelling, and “realness” of the experience of the societal limbo of hiding in plain sight brings. You can feel the narrative changes, hear the enunciation, and get a sense of space and time with each story. There’s also audible changes in punctuation, and it’s easy to tell when the text is quoting another speaker or writer, which made for a very enjoyable listening experience.

I recommend Confessions from Disability Limbo to anyone who’s ever had questions but been afraid to ask, or who would like to get to a place of becoming more open-minded around issues faced by the disability community.

This book provides an honest and interesting insight into the life and experiences of a person with disabilities. The humor and openness of this narrative are not only well written, but also well narrated. Sean’s voice brings Kevin’s story to life and conveys the humor and emotion of the author.

Even if you are not a fan of nonfiction, this is a must read/listen to!

This is a great book showing you the life of a disabled man. The struggles and joys that life brings to one's self when they are disabled. This book has opened my eyes a little more to the struggle disabled people deal with on a constant daily basis.

A Must Read
