Good start. Loses steam fast.
Narrator very breathy as if everything is a cliffhanger. Storyline doesn’t give enough details and/or hints. For example why Darrell left with the girls and didn’t return when he learned his wife was alive. Weak ending.

Cold water veins
I have listened to a lot of books , if I’m in the mood for something short I’ll take advantage of the short stories that audio provides. Most I’ve listened to have been pretty good but thank gosh I didn’t have to use one of my credits on this Novella.
It was silly, silly and just plain weird. Two sisters that return to their childhood farm that can only be accessed from horseback. Then they talk about changing into tank tops? Really? I’m not sure what time period this fits into. The narration was irritating to me. I listened to it all but I couldn’t wait for it to end. Not on my recommended listens.

Excellent short story
I am always surprised with these short stories that are done so well. Definitely worth a listen, will not leave you bored. Great for when you want a little background noise when you're in a quiet room.

The Potential is There...
Like many others, I agree it is a great premise, and the build up starts out well. Ultimately, though, the ending feels forced and flatly written. With a good descriptive rewrite and more sub-plots, I'd gladly give it another read as a full length novel.

Creepy little story
It actually took me two tries to get through this, although it turned out that I'd given up the first time just before things got weird and interesting. I'd like to read other works by this author.
