Great beginning to a fun ride!!!

Cold Hollow was excellent. The story was well developed, emotionally provocative and thoroughly enjoyable. The small town of Cold Hollow was populated with genuine people who feel real. They all are very quirky and in the case of this story, everyone has something they are trying to hide just boiling under the surface and wanting out. Reminded me very much of the way Stephen King writes his small town characters. There was intrigue, murder and mystery. What more could you ask for. Amazing.

J. Scott Bennett did a fantastic job with his subtle narration and superb character voices, he is definitely someone that I look forward to hearing when I am looking for new books.

Spellbinding and spectacular!

This book was amazing! It was full of plot twists and sub plots and lurking under it all was a truly twisted idea that all too easily could have been a real experiment. The characters were dark and twisted with cores of gold or hellish sulfur. You grew to love and hate them and sometimes both for the same character. The reveals were shocking to the core. The narration was spot on. I can't wait for more!!!! I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookboom in exchange for an unbiased review

I think I found a new favorite series

This book is so good and so creepy. The inhabitants of the perfect-looking town of Cold Hollow hide a secret. This book keeps readers engaged from start to finish, and I finished it in one sitting. I got a little confused in the beginning when the story was jumping from character to character, but as the book progressed, I saw how each character fit into the story. This story is very dark, and yet, there is some humor in it, too. I listened to the Audible audio version of this book, narrated by J. Scott Bennett. I have loved everything I've heard him do. This book is no exception. He has a unique voice that really makes the story come alive. Overall, this was a great book, and I'm really looking forward to more books in the series.
