Resumen del Editor

Coen Highsmith was a league star, but he lost more than his team the day the Pittsburgh Titans’ plane crashed. Can he be saved from his downward spiral of guilt and regret to become the man he once was?

I had it all—a successful hockey career, the respect and adoration of the fans, a rotation of beautiful women warming my bed, and a feeling of self-worth and contentment with the direction of my life. But that all changed the day the team plane went down, taking my only chance of redemption with it. Now I’m left with the daily reminder of all my failures and my inability to correct them.

My new teammates are tired of my attitude, and following my suspension, I hole up in a mountain cabin to get away from all of it. The isolation is exactly what I need to get out of my own head, and I’m beginning to think I could be content in this quiet forever.

Tillie Marshall isn’t the type of woman who would usually catch my attention, yet she manages to do so for all the wrong reasons. I’m here for the peace and seclusion, but the quirky artist is hell-bent on destroying that by cutting down the trees that separate our properties so she can open a pottery studio. If it’s a fight she wants, it’s a fight she’ll get. I have the money and the time and no issues bringing her down through the court system. While I see flashes of steely determination within her, I’ve found that being a jerk comes naturally these days and she won’t be hard to intimidate.

Unfortunately, that gorgeous and somewhat odd neighbor who has been causing me grief is creating another type of feeling within me. And once that spark is lit, Tillie displays a faith in me that for the first time since the crash I desperately want to believe. Now it’s time for me to step up and become the man—no, a better man than I once was.

Can Tillie tame the beast?

Finally, we get the reason why Coen is acting the way he is. Finally, we get some answers. Now the question is can he get past it. I think Tillie opens his eyes to what he is doing with his teammates. When Gage visits and they talk, it's the first step in moving on. The survivor's guilt is a lot to bear, but add in the other guilt he is dealing with and that is what has pushed him to be a douche to everyone.

It will be interesting to see how he and Tillie fare in the future. I'm hopeful they can work out the bugs, but it is a major change for her. We really didn't see her outside her comfort zone and in a big city in this book, so only time will tell if she can manage splitting her time between the cabin and the big city.

I think Aaron Shedlock as Coen was a good pick. He handles the moodiness very well. Lucy Rivers as Tillie was also a great choice. It's been awhile since I've listened to her and she handles both the embarrassed version and the take no prisoners version of Tillie very well.

Such a redemption for Cohen!

From being an ahole to a softie, Cohen was the perfect grumpy sunshine, alpha book!

I loved it!

This is the fourth book in the Pittsburgh Titans Series, a spin-off of the Arizona Vengeance series, a Sports Romance. This series is amazing! I loved Coen and Tillie's story. Coen is tortured by a survivor guilt. He is very handsome, and grumpy. Tillie is beautiful, kind, strong, determined, and supportive. They complement each other. I liked their banter. The storyline is emotional, and beautifully written. This is a great enemies to lovers romance. Aaron Shedlock and Lucy Rivers did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Drake, the next book in the series. I highly recommend this series.

Coen and Tilden

𝟰 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗳𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗢𝗘𝗡 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘄𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁

COEN is Coen and Tilden’s story and the fourth book in the Pittsburgh Titans series.

Coen has had enough of hockey and everyone to do with it so he moves to a secluded cabin in a small town hoping for seclusion. Everything was going as planned until his neighbor wants to change the tree line between their properties. Tilden will do whatever it takes to break down Coen.

Coen and Tilden have some great banter between them leading up to them giving into their mutual attraction and burning chemistry. I love how Tilden was able to help Coen battle his demons and return to the old Coen, prior to the crash.

Aaron Shedlock did a great job as Coen. I am still on the fence about Lucy Rivers as Tilden. There were points I enjoyed her narration and there were points that sounded too much like she was reading a book instead of telling a story.

COEN contains… sports (hockey), frenemies, neighbors, opposites, and dual first-person point of view.

Great Story and Performance.

I knew this story was going to be amazing in audio, and I felt both narrators did a fabulous job. Aaron Shedlock was a perfect Coen, just how I imaged he’d sound and act. Even his other character voices were done well. Lucy Rivers too was how I had Tilly in my head..although I wasn’t a fan of her second characters. I much prefer the duet style of narration but this performance was pretty excellent.

Oh Coen…Coen…Coen. I knew I was going to love this story from book one. There’s something about a hero who is bitter and twisted and needing solace either from his team mates or an incredible woman that I can’t put down. I also adore having a hero that this now gives him plenty of growth and self reflection.

Coen is one of the “lucky three” in that for injuries or illness stopped them getting on the plane that fateful night. Survivors guilt and other issues had been tormenting Coen since and he’s been spiraling out of control. Now suspended, he’s removed himself from the city and hiding out at Stone’s cabin. Was he expecting to find a friend with his neighbor - no way, but she’s got qualities that have him wanting to be around her all the time.

Tillie is completely opposite to what Coen would have dated or spent time with. They even have totally different upbringings but maybe that’s why she intrigued him so much. Or maybe it had to do with her calming compassion that had him letting go of the past. For me, what made me cherish their tale was their banter and antics. She might not have the worldly experience he had, but she gave as good as she got.

There is a certain amount of angst with this book, Coen had to deal with a few demons and I loved that it wasn’t overdramatized. His dilemmas weren’t easy to overcome and at times he was an outright jerk, but underneath you could see his true self was still there. Tillie didn’t just bring out the best of Coen, she showed him to trust his instincts and his team. He was more loyal and dependable than he gave himself credit for. I absolutely loved this couple and story.

Love a grumpy hero

And a quirky heroine. Love how Tilly didn't care at all who Coen was our that he's famous. He was just Coen.
This entire series is very interesting, with the whole basis starting with the plane crash. It has opened some really difficult and complicated storylines. No one tackles them better than Sawyer Bennett. She's one of the best authors around and corn is maybe the best of the series so far. Can't wait for more!

Coen is so much more than expected

Coen is the fourth book in the Pittsburg Titans series but it can be read as a stand alone. While there will be some spoilers on the characters from the prior books, you will not be lost in understanding who Coen is and learning his story.
The Pittsburg Titans have had a time coming back after the plane crash where most of the team and staff died in that crash. Coen should have been on that plane but was home sick and struggles and becomes a not nice person. He struggles from more than survivor's guilt.
Tildon or Tillie to her friends has had her own tragedy in her life and is trying to move on and live her dreams but Coen is preventing her from that. The war of the trees has started.
I love the surprises and twists that are taken on in this book. It was difficult to turn off. The narrators have done a wonderful job making you feel like you are in the scene even to the point of actually feeling the heavy breathing while running the trails. I really felt like I was on those runs between the description and the narration. I also enjoyed the brief interactions from the prior team member and am looking forward to the next book in the series. This new Titans team is still growing and getting to know each other.

Great addition to this unique series

I’ve loved each book. They are more emotional than I expect from a sports romance series, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each of the guys stories. Chen is a top player, but has unresolved guilt over things that he didn’t get to resolve with a teammate he lost in the crash. He leaves town and fully intends to leave the team for a secluded cabin. That is until he meets his feisty artistic neighbor who helps him move on from his issues.

Another great book!💜

Okay so now I think this one is my favorite in this series. I can have more than one right? Of course I can it’s my review 😂.
Anyway, Coen’s story just breaks my heart, until it doesn’t. The rivalry and banter between them is so much fun. And obviously the sex is on fire 🔥. I really enjoy Sawyer Bennett’s work because she’s always connecting prior books and leaving Easter eggs for future books. In addition, she’s an absolute genius for recapping her stories so that no matter which book in the series you’re on, you won’t feel lost.
Can I just say that in this entire series her narrator choices have been spot on. Aaron Shedlock absolutely nailed Coen. Lucy Rivers was outstanding. Well done everyone 👏👏👏.
This is book 4 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book/series.

Hockey player, neighbors, enemies to lovers & spic

Hockey player, artist, neighbors, enemies to lovers, survivors guilt and so many emotions. Can't for get the hot spice!!!!

Coen finally gets the HEA he deserves and some much needed peace of mind!!!! I have been interested in him since the first book in the series. I always felt so bad for him and what he has gone through.

This is the forth book in a series. This book can be read as a complete standalone as all information is given to you. You will still get all the heart and feels if you have never read another book by this author. However as a fan, I highly recommend the other books in this series. Enjoy!!!
