Wilder Crick, the worst presidential candidate in history, is dead.

Now his reluctant apprentice Tom and ruthless campaign manager Shelly must carry out his final order—a bizarre, posthumous search for the true, hidden nature of reality.

"Some books tell a story," writes Literary Titan's Priscilla Evans. "Others drag you into a chaotic, unrelenting experience that scrambles your brain and leaves you questioning everything. Cleave the Sparrow is for people who enjoy satire so sharp it draws blood, philosophy so deep it makes your head hurt, and humor so dark you feel guilty laughing.”

entertaining and a little all over the place. it's out there...but not that far. Quantum Psychology by Robert Anton Wilson is a far better mind opener.

I got this book because I like absurdism and this book is definitely absurd. However the "plot" is complete nonesense and spends far too much of its graciously little time spewing pseudo intellectual bs. the only reason I finished it was because it was so short, but I really dont think I gained anything meaningful from it.

weird for the sake if being weird

This book throws references out like spaghetti at the wall, and then says “oh yeah, there’s no wall”. If you’ve heard of Allan Watts, Madam Blavatsky, Gurdjieff, Sabine Hossendfelder, Donald Hoffman, Stephen Hawking…etc, they’re all in there and this book probably isn’t for you. If for some reason you’ve been scientifically illiterate for the last 50 years, maybe you should read this book. Good luck parsing the real science from it…

Ultimately it offers no great revelations, just a diving board for fringe ideas. My rule of thumb: if it mentions machine elves turn it off.

A primer in pseudo-intellectualism and real science

I really appreciated the unorthodox writing style of the author. It was reminiscent of one of the greats, Kurt Vonnegut. I very much look forward to checking out any future works by Katz.

thought-provoking!

I honestly don’t know what to say about this. It’s weird for the sake of being weird—and not even in a good way. It feels like a rough first draft by someone trying a little too hard to create a cult classic, hoping that the incoherent, word-salad narrative will distract you just long enough to make it seem clever.

Weirdlu Uninteresting

I didn't non not like it but it takes the batshit of our everyday now and throws a little more shit at the fan. if you wonder if we are in the right reality, you will feel right at home.

giant pile of nonsense mixed with philosophy ducttape and quantum bubblegum. Fans of Burroughs will love it.
