This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Enjoyable Collection of Old Short Stories
I had never read any of these stories before so I thought I'd give it a go. All of the narrators were very good, but I did guffaw at the English accent done in the first story (it grows on you though). My favourites were The Graveyard Rats and Calling Card. They are all horror-related, but the last story is sci-fi. It's an enjoyable listen if you're looking for some scary short stories.

I enjoyed this collection greatly.
Although a couple of the stories felt a little dated, they were all interesting, entertaining and well written.

Puerile and boring.
This collection, with the exception of the Bradbury story - which is easily found on YouTube in audio form for free- is not worth anyone's time. Not one tale was scary or mildly engrossing. As if the person who edited/collated this collection, went out of their way to choose stories with no depth given to any protagonist or character. Save your five dollars for something else.
