A very worthy addition to Chronicles of Maradom

Do you enjoy fantasy tales? How about short stories, or collections of short stories? If you have answered yes to both questions, you owe it to yourself to travel to Maradoum. Ross Hughes has created a fantasy world that is not just entertaining, but highly addictive. With Chronicles of Maradoum 7, Ross and Robin Coppock took me on a tour of one of my favorite fantasy places – through a series of eleven very enjoyable short stories all set across Maradoum with a cast of characters who range from likeable to highly questionable. Each story has action elements as well as a central theme that may range from jealous lovers competing for the same woman, or stubborn merchants who won’t listen, or the use/misuse of magic. When I was offered a review copy of the audiobook for Chronicles of Maradoum 7 from the author through StoryOrigin I couldn’t pass it up, having read or listened to the previous six episodes. My only regret is now I must wait until Ross releases the next audiobook in the series. Hopefully, it will be soon. If you are new to this series you don’t have to start with the first volume, but no matter where you start it won’t be long until you have devoured all the Chronicles of Maradoum volumes.

A thought provoking fantasy anthology

Not to be missed, highly recommended seventh volume of short stories.
I am a fan. I love the complex world of Maradoum with different cultures, an endless supply of stories and ethical issues. I do like happy endings, especially with a twist such as in the Wind -Riders and The Mouser's Scarf. I did not like The Two-Faced God, dark, dangerous and hopeless - the wheel turns. The Dragon God deserves a special mention for misplaced faith and is especially rewarding and thought provoking. The Lullabyer, the subject of the full novel, is introduced in Witch Spice Dreams. - what is reality? The best thing about short stories is that one can be read in a lunch break or on the train ride home. No loosing the thread while waiting to recommence the story.

I read the book when it was published and was delighted to find the audio book available. Yet another narrator, and Robin Coppeck slips into the role easily. Not a jarring note. I have listened to all seven volumes of Chronicles of Maradoum now, and loved them all. Enjoy this latest collection.

Collection of fantastic fantasy stories

I am unfamiliar with the world if Matadoum. Or, rather, I was. This collection of short stories was packed with magic, monsters, and unique characters that ran the gamut from likable to not very likeable, and gave me an intriguing peek into the extensive world building in the series. I am curious about most characters enough to want to read full-length stories about them.
Robin Coppock did well bringing these short stories to life.

Another well-written story from a good author

Chronicles of Maradoum Volume 7: A Fantasy Anthology, my fourteenth read from author Ross C. Hughes. I originally read this back in August of last year and enjoyed it. So when the opportunity to listen to the audiobook came up I took it. An enjoyable 6-hour 56-minute/198-page anthology of fantasy short stories. Narrator Robin Coppock again makes a good book even better. I look forward to reading more from this author. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018) .
