Alone in Miles Gulch, Susan befriends some of the folks in town, and when they mistakenly assume she was already married to the blacksmith, she hasn’t the heart to set them straight.

With a home, a job, and friends, Susan is determined to make this new life a better one - even if she has to spend it alone. But when her old flame Henry Hudson walks through the door, she realizes that Miles Gulch is about to give her more than she bargained for.
