I add my voice

This book was interesting. A lot of difficult words, and a lot of Chinese names that, if I'm honest, the narrator did a great job pronouncing for someone who doesn't sound Asian (or the name doesn't look it.... Ric Chetter, probably not Chinese).

Anyway, about the content: Really good. Good historical background stories, and very important to learn about the Chinese culture in the time of the myths and heroes before diving into a lot of the stories that would be hard to understand without a prelude of that background. I think this book is a great introductory addition to perhaps future books in the series (Are more of them coming, John Feisel?) and that it's worth every penny. Thanks.

This deserves a positive review

This is definitely a good book. I don't know if EVERYone would give it exactly 4 stars, because I'm sure you can always find SOMEthing wrong with every book. But in my opinion, it was worth my time. I sat aback and listened to this interesting anecdote on the history of beliefs in the oriental hemisphere, appreciating the narrator for his expertise and the author for his studies on the subject.

Chinese mythology is something we are not always familiar with, as much as we like to admit that we're stuck in our own world here. The gods and legends and interesting facts and creatures... there is too much to name. It seems like there actually IS more to mention that just what's in this book, which already constitutes 3+ hours, almost 4. So it's a good way to start. That's for sure.

Overall, a great job compiling the information and a great job bringing it to life with the right voice.
