Resumen del Editor

Victor Morgof is a feral vampire and the very first of his kind. The malevolent byproduct of his father's twisted fantasies, Victor is subject to the chaos of eternal damnation. Tasked with killing the guardian angel of Istra Kala, Victor travels to the mortal plane where he learns of animals, druids, and men. Tormented by his pure-blood sister, Victor must find a balance between his sense of ethicality, curse of lineage, and hunger for blood.

A reimagining of a classic origin story.

I liked Kevin's bringing the tale together through the incorporation of other characters. The result is as encompassing as any ancient Greek God's origin story. It moves steadily, the action is not mired down by too many details. I enjoyed this story, but is was short being a novella, but did not feel rushed. I did receive this story by request, and have left this review of my own volition.

Satanic Vampire Battles

This one's kind of a strange story about the vampire son of Satan and his sister Lilith. There's lots of blood an gore, some strange beasts, a supernatural horse and even an angel.
Interesting characters and a "quest" type format that ends with a more enlightened hero. Worth reading if you like your vampires powerful and nasty, not sparkly.

An interesting take on vampires on land

Disclaimer: This audiobook was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. A very interesting story, certainly not what I have expected but was enjoyable nonetheless. I loved the portrayal of men, druids and angel in this book, especially from the point of view of the main character. It's a refreshing take on 'evil' and 'good'. Near the end however, it feels like the main character could have been more expressive, as the story increase in intensity. Might have been the intention of the author, but I was definitely a lot more enthused about the main character at first. The narration by Graham Mack was quite remarkable. I really like his portrayal of all the different characters, especially the sister, and made me quite invested in her. The only downside was the voice of Satan, which was so distorted I could not catch any word. Then again, without seeing the texts of the book themselves, I cannot be certain if maybe the character wasn't saying anything in the first place.
