Interesting learning for children and families
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book reads as more of an encyclopedia of Celtic legends. Each section contains transferrable life lessons for children to reflect on. I suspect this might be easier to follow in print because of how each chapter and legend are organized (with an intro, legend description or sometimes the legend, a reflection, and those life lessons). The challenge in following happens when the legend or its description is interrupted with "X teaches us" interjections before the section has been completed. It's jarring from a listener's perspective (at least it was for me), but it might be one of those things that works when the book is in print.
It was an enjoyable listen in large part because the narrator was OUTSTANDING. A. Foxwell's intonation and pacing were flawless throughout the entire audiobook.
I recommend this audiobook to help guide family listening and to accompany family discussions and independent readings of each legend mentioned.
