What a read!

Once again Webber and Flint craft an amazing story although the story line differs from the final Harrington novel slightly it is not significant

Another Strong Honorverse Title

Would you consider the audio edition of Cauldron of Ghosts to be better than the print version?

I've read the book and am listening to the audiobook. The story while long and sometimes too involved holds together well with great characters. Unfortunately the narrator should stick to narration but his characterizations are terrible. His range seems to be making people sound very old or very young and it seems like there's been no prep work done by listening to previous Honorverse titles. Please find another narrator for these titles.

Would you be willing to try another one of Peter Larkin’s performances?

Not unless it's a children's book or a non-fiction.

Wish it had been narated by Ms A. Johnson

Nothing against Mr. Larkin, it's just that Ms. Johnson has been the voice of my Honorverse for 14 books.

Quite enjoyable !

David Weber’s and Eric flint books have always been fascinating to me . This series is no exception .

Just as good as reading

Even though it took me longer to listen to it still was as good as reading the book. In some ways it was better to listen too because the reader's voice had more emotion.

Love the story but I wanna know what happens next. Where next book?

Just when you thin think the Mesa Alignment couldn’t get any slimier it does. They make gangsters look like heroes.


At the time of this post the follow up book ends in fire is out. Okay I loved this story and everything in it. But I need audio books to keep me from going crazy at work. So where the heck is the next book it’s already out and I can’t find an audio release date?

Classic Weber and Flint, A Great Story!

I have read and listened to all of the books in the Honor Harrington books, Shadow of Saganami, and the Crown of Slaves series. I just finished Cauldron of Ghosts--again--after going back to On Basilisk Station and reading all of the books chronologically. (A fantastic way to spend the winter by the way). And David Weber never ceases to amaze me. His books are phenomenal and I can't wait for more in the main storyline (Manticore Ascendant is good but...) I really want to know what comes next for The Grand Alliance, Torch, Maya, Mesa, the Alignment/RF, and the Sollies.
They (Weber/Flint) once again left the future totally open with lots of little hints and I want to know where those hints lead!

one of the better books

I was hesitant to get this book especially after the the last few books in the series in the main story line. after all the voices changed so dramatically for the worse and the overall performances were so far below the standard set by the earlier books. But I was pleasantly surprised by this book. it was interesting in its own right and done pretty well.

great narrator, good companion series

The narrator is very good and brings the many memorable characters to life.

The story is pretty good but since this is a companion series it doesn't entirely stand on its own. That's a missed opportunity since this series is different enough from the main one that you will probably enjoy one more than the other.
