Perfect combo of adventure, humor and heart
My two daughters and I listen to middle grade audiobooks all the time, and this is one of the best ones we’ve listened to. All the characters were so lovable, and we’d love to read more books about them. Katybird’s struggles with feeling “different” and “not enough” were relatable for any kid (and adult), and the magic somehow felt both comfortably familiar and refreshingly unique. My kids pretty much only like books with some humor, and this one delivered in the form of adorable sidekick Tyler. All-around excellent.

A story with lots of heart for all ages!
This may be a story intended to be middle grade fiction, but it is a story that I think anyone would enjoy. from the Appalachian setting to the feuding families to the personal stories of the main characters the story is amazing. lots of humor, heart and thrills! it had me in tears more than once and left me with a smile!
