Intriguing PNR! Fabulous Story & Narration🎧

This is my first Alba Lockwood book, an intriguing paranormal romance that grabbed my attention immediately and captivated it the entire time. The story is unique and original, having a witch’s familiar as a lead character, a complex character with depth and then introduces us to other characters that are just as complex and fascinating, too. Winnie, a witch, has a cat as her familiar, Clawdia, who often visits their neighbor Charlie, who works from home. When other supernatural beings show up, it is Charlie who tries to help him, since finding things is his job and they do not need to search far to find what they are looking for, Zaide’s fated mate. But all goes haywire when his travel mate gets abducted and the witches steal his fire. Clawdia suspected Winnie and her girlfriend were working on something secretive and after witnessing what they could do, she knew it was not anything good. The story follows them, trying to save their friend and get his fire back, and they need to find what the witches have planned and track them down. We also get glimpses into Clawdia’s past, showing who she was before and how she became a witch’s familiar. There is never a dull moment in this intriguing and cleverly plotted story, a multi-layered story that has the perfect balance of drama, angst, humor, action, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. The world building and character development are fantastic. Alba Lockwood, thank you for the fascinating story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous audiobook production, excellent casting and voice acting performed by Olivia Rhoades, James Davey and Isaac Epinal who were amazing in their roles. They were spot on with their portrayal of the characters, giving each a voice that was fitting to their character’s personality and was believable in every role. Setting the perfect tone for the story, they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These three made a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that takes the already wonderful story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

Great Start!

Clawdia, Charlie and Zaide

I enjoyed listening to this. The narrators did a really good job telling the story and giving the characters a voice.

Clawdia is a cat and her familiar is a witch. At one point you get her back story from her past to her tragic ending. Charlie is the next door neighbor who Clawdia likes to hang around and irritate. Zaide is from another realm and seeks Charlie's help to find his mate. Loved Zaide's voice can listen to him all day. Clawdia is a loveable cat and has a good soul. Charlie is my favorite I love his short temper and how he flies off the handle and the language on him funny. I look forward to listening to more of this series in this one they were battling witches, wonder what's next because someone has their eyes set on Clawdia.

Interesting start

We’ve got Clawdia a cat familiar who’s had a rough past. She was once human and her human life had some serious hardships. Now she’s a cat with a witch she adores. But her witch is starting to keep secrets. And then there’s the cutie next door who Clawdia loves to terrorize. And we’ve got some others who are new to the human realm. There’s quite a bit of drama in the story. We also get flash backs to Clawdia’s life as a human. I’m curious to see how all these relationships unfold and how the current problems the characters are dealing with will be resolved. Definitely want to listen to the next book in the series. The narrator did a very good job with each character having a distinct voice.
