I simply love this book

like the entire series the story keeps you entertained the entire time. Khristine Hvam adds voice to Michelle's spirit of each character .

My favorite book in the series

This is my favorite book in the series because it finally gives the Arkon my absolute favorite character his "happy ending".

Simply Fantastic

Another fantastic entry for the Chronicles of Elantra with amazing narration from Khristine. I cannot wait until the next book.

I love how the author keeps on developing the story. The Argon has been one of my favorite characters. I couldn’t put the book down.

Another in a great series

If you are wanting to listen to this book, you are reading most likely to have listened to those that came before it, and know what to expect. Kaylin and many of the cast of characters reclaim a lost treasure from the borders between the fields, an academy lost when the fiefs and their towers were created. The world of Elantra is more and more being reclaimed from shadow, but each reclamation is an adventure, and claims it's own complicated price. if you've not read it listened to any of the other books, I suggest you do that first, as each unfolds in chronological order, some separated by days hours, and even minutes! This series is one long story, and while it gets better and better, it builds on what has gone before. This is great world-building, and the characters and world itself become like old and fascinating friends. Excellent read and listen!

Great Book

Loved this. would recommend the series to anyone. Enjoyed the narration also. Hope there are more books in this to come.

Kaylin & the Fief Borders

Possible Spoilers:
Kaylin and Severn, with Bellusdeo in tow, go to check out the fief of Candellar. It’s Lord was seen in the warrens of Elantra, and the shadow/documenter named Spike was carried out from Ravellon through that fief. In traveling from Tiamaris to Candellar, they find a building in the borderland with a caretaker/avatar named Killian. There are levels of investigation: Candellar, the fief, the towers. Things get further interesting when they enter the fiefs of Durant, Farlone, & Liatt to check the border of Ravellon.
Return trips to the border building gathers more information and a book/stone that has the Arkon & Emmerian joining Kaylin, Severn & Bellusdeo with 4 of the Cohort to discover the Academia. This is the much loved school & library of the Arkon’s youth, and the premier learning center of their world. When Ravellon fell, the avatar & staff had taken precautions and the Academia went into a type of suspended sleep. But it was already discovered by Candellar and a cabal of arcanists, and it takes all of Kaylin et al to get it out of their clutches and wake up the avatar. What a major life change for Lannagaros, former Arkon, and the Imperial Court. With the Academia’s avatar awake, the fog clears and roads are visible. Killian was the border zone!
Hvam did a very good job with narration and didn’t mispronounce Severn too much. Of course, he was mostly just part of the et al in this story, not Kaylin’s primary partner in mischief.

Been a fan from Book 1... Love how K (E) has developed from a self concerned kid of the fiefs to a young adult in the city and working... as well as she's starting to become more mature... but she can't keep bringing in all the lost puppies of the world, even though she has plenty of room for them now. Also, she I'm not asking for anything wild and crazy... but I'd like to see where the relationship between sevren and Kaylin is to go. Especially after reading his POV... I will continue to read hoping for more, but some of this repetition is getting a little bit old... those of us that have been her for 15 books should have a clue by now. (wink wink)
