He steals Bee from me… and leaves my life in the cold hands of a fae warrior different from the others, carved from ice, hollow—and utterly terrifying.

His task is to take me with his unit back to the fae realm, where hopefully I'm reunited with Bee. But that’s months away, months of trekking difficult terrain in a harsh winter, and no way of contacting Bee, to learn if she’s even still alive.

She faces the same danger that I do.
Broken promises, fractured bargains, and death at the hands of the fae captors.
