The Shadow Series is a completed urban fantasy trilogy perfect for fans of complex characters, fae politics, and romance that crackles with tension.

intriguing, but unfortunately it isn't unique, engaging, or consequential.

I started off enjoying the story, the setting, and the tragedy at its core. My overall rating is made with several aspects taking it to consideration. The first creativity wasn't as high as I had hoped it was going to be. Secondly, there's very little growth, evolution, and development of the characters and their capabilities. The last bit, was that it was boring, and leaned heavily on romance instead of diving in to high fantasy.

I know there is another book in this series, but I have no desire whatsoever to read or listen to it at all. That the story builds expectation with a supposed prophecy has very little to do with the story or the eventualities. I don't wish to spoil the story for anyone, so I'll leave it at three stars and view it as disappointing overall.
