Fantastic

Liliana turned into someone else, too, when she danced. Some kind of human-angel hybrid moving across the stage with the kind of grace and beauty he hadn't quite seen before... It was amazing. She was beautiful.

I loved Joe and Liliana's story , what a lovely romance.Joe fall in love with Liliana the moment he first laid eyes on her. One glance and he was pretty much head over heels. Liliana likewise couldn’t seem to break his mesmerizing stare or control the chemistry that constantly sizzled between them. They are intense and passionate.I couldn't get enough of these two!

The title is so perfect for this one because truly it was a captivated story!

Enjoyable Romantic Suspense With A Twist !

Let's start off by saying that this is a new author for us, and we are really enjoying her stories.

I really enjoyed this tale, it was griping suspenseful and a really great love story. I have to say I really loved the main characters, Joe and Liliana were complete opposites yet fit each other so well. One thing they do have in common is that they are both from powerful crime families.

Liliana's career as a ballet dancer keeps her very busy which keeps her away from the family business, although she is not naive about her father and brother's she is not privy to how they conduct their business and I really feel she doesn't really know just how powerful and dangerous they really are.

Liliana and Joe form an instant connection, he too is from a Mafia family based in Chicago. This story reminded me a little bit of the story Beauty and the Beast.

I loved the chemistry and the connection that was there between these to as they made a cute couple their courtship was somewhat of a train wreck waiting to happen yet, they were super sexy and hot together when they came together for some hot and dirty sex. Lol, Joe is keeping secrets their entire courtship, first because it was family business and then to protect her. How do you court the girl you are crazy about without her realizing in actuality you are guarding her and not just a job ?

I have to say that I haven't really read a lot of the Mafia romance gene but, I have to say that the story kept me interested and turning the pages until the very end. The story had a great cast of characters and some twists and turns and a few surprises.

I loved both Liliana and Joe from the onset of the story, but, Joe became my favorite character this time around. Joe just kept surprising me at every turn because he kept doing things out of his comfort zone and out of character for him and also kept straying from the plan and then gets involved with finding out more about the job he was hired to do, things he never ever does. The cool and collected man is everything but, as Liliana has him totally off his game. Lol

Overall we enjoyed this story as I found the characters to be love-able, intriguing, mysterious and that it had just the right amount of drama and suspense. I also loved the author style of writing and would love to read more books by her, and will have to start with one of her mafia series for sure.

Fantastic Must Listen To!

I love reading a book but I love listening to a book. I swear I can see and feel everything that is happening on each and every page. This book is so beautifully written that the moment it started with this is a book from audible I was hooked. The narrator Daniel James Lewis did an AMAZING job reading us this mafia love story.

The two main characters Joe and Liliana are both from Mob families and when Joe is asked to come to New York to do a job he meets Liliana and he knows right from the minute they meet that his life is about to change. There is something about that angelic ballerina that calls to Joe in a way he has never known. He is so sexy, smart, loving and everything in between and them some. He is ferocious in protecting Liliana and I loved that about him.

Liliana oh man she is a princessa but she is not stuck up and snotty. She is loving and caring and loves to dance on stage. She knows that is not going to be her career but she is enjoying it while she can. When she meets Joe she is done for. Her heart beats fast and she knows she has to have him. The love scenes between these two were steamy and I needed a glass a very tall glass of ice because they were off the charts. Plus I loved when Joe spoke italian to her.

This is a must read love story that does not come easily for them. They have to work at their relationship and they have their ups and downs but when they work together they make the perfect couple.

You Will Love it

keeps you drawn in, keeps you on the edge, narration is great at certain times narration may have been better duet style but overall delivers a spectacular book!!!

Captivated is a steamy standalone romance written by author Bethany - Kris. I listened to this story on audio, which was narrated by Daniel James Lewis. I especially enjoyed the narrator’s accent, but I could not pin down the exact type of accent. It seemed similar to a Boston accent, which I thought went perfectly with this mafia romance. Mr. Lewis voiced the characters well, and I quickly became engrossed in the story.

Captivated tells the story of Joe Rossi, who is a member of the Chicago mob. Joe and his father travel to NY City to meet with the head of the New York Mob. They offer Joe a job which requires him to stay in NY for some time. While there, he gets to know Liliana Marcello, the daughter of the boss and a principal ballet dancer.

The story was fascinating, and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book. The sex scenes were steamy, and I truly enjoyed Joe’s dominance. He was definitely a delicious anti-hero and I loved when he spoke Italian.

A definite add to your TBR list.

Sweet and good

sweet love story. some repeat in chapter 11 only few minutes. otherwise the reading was good.
the story is a little foreseeable but I liked it. I liked the characters. the good one. the bad one and her sweetness.
I would like to see more from this writer. thank you.

Great mafia romance and narration.

Joe Rossi is on a business trip in New York City. It’s no ordinary trip because Joe doesn’t work in an ordinary business. He’s a part of the Chicago mob and he’s been offered a job by the New York mob. As he’s in the city on an extended stay he begins to get to know a beautiful and shy ballerina, Liliana. She also happens to be the daughter of the New York boss.

This story was great. It was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat nearly the whole time. I love how captivated Joe is by Liliana. Their passion and his dominance were red-hot! Don’t even get me started on his dirty taking ways. *drool*

Narration was done by Daniel James Lewis and he does a good job. His accent throughout was slight, but fit the story well. I quickly found myself lost to the narration and story. Would definitely recommend this to lovers of fast-paced mafia romances with great narration.

Good Story, but...

This was a good story, but the editing was not great. There was no pauses between any transitions. You would be in the middle of the dance studio, then suddenly at a different location. it was kind of confusing to follow at times because of this.

This story was exciting, and suspenseful. It was exactly everything that I love and expect from this author.

Good Story

Captivated is a good a sweet love story . It started out slow but really picked up midway threw. I'm a big fan of the narrator but I kind of wish this story was dually narrated.
